MAKES 500ML

INGREDIENTS

  • 500g (1lb 2oz) Bramley apples (2 medium ones)
  • 300g (10?oz) blueberries
  • 1 vanilla pod, 分裂(する)
  • 75g (2?oz) caster sugar
  • Juice of 1 lemon

METHOD

Peel and 核心 the apples, then chop into small pieces. Place in a saucepan with the blueberries, vanilla pod, caster sugar and lemon juice.

Place over a medium heat and bring to a simmer, stirring frequently. Cover with a lid and cook for around 15 minutes, stirring every so often.

Leave to 冷静な/正味の, 除去する the vanilla pod and serve stirred into whipped cream, in tarts, with ice-cream, or, as here, 層d like a trifle with yoghurt and muesli.
