Driven to despair: Why can't the price of モーター 保険 簡単に go up if you're a bad driver and 負かす/撃墜する if you're careful? Asks BEN WILKINSON

What has happened to the 商売/仕事 of car 保険? Has 新たにするing your モーター 政策 ever been いっそう少なく transparent?

Not in my experience. It is rare that I 新たにする my 政策 and feel 確信して I have paid a fair price.

As our 保険会社s' database of (人命などを)奪う,主張するs 統計(学) becomes more sophisticated, we are no longer just good or bad drivers. Now we're 裁判官d on different 面s of our lives and personalities.

Your profession, 結婚の/夫婦の status, age, postcode, type of home you live in, time of year you 新たにする your 保険, and probably what you had for breakfast, all becomes 関連した to the 保険 overlords.

Motor madness: Why can't an honest insurer just give Drivers a fair price?

モーター madness: Why can't an honest 保険会社 just give Drivers a fair price?

These facts and 人物/姿/数字s 恐らく give 保険会社s a better picture of what type of driver you are ― or, more pertinently, whether you're likely to make a (人命などを)奪う,主張する.

How much you 支払う/賃金 to 運動 truly is a lotter y now. An innocent 犠牲者 of a supermarket shunt??

No, you are now 'statistically more likely to make a (人命などを)奪う,主張する'. 一方/合間, drivers in the prime of their lives are 強いるd to モーター around with 黒人/ボイコット box trackers in their cars just to keep their 賞与金s affordable. It's become absurd.

Finding a reasonable 再開 引用する on a price comparison 場所/位置 is an 年次の struggle that we've come to 受託する as a fact of life.

But why should we have to go to such lengths just to 打ち明ける the best price? Why can't an honest 保険会社 just give us a fair price?

We are told 偽の whiplash (人命などを)奪う,主張するs, rising 税金s and an 増加するd number of 窃盗s are 原因(となる)ing our 賞与金s to go up and up.?

It may be that we're 支払う/賃金ing a fair price for our 保険, but the 狭くする-minded way we are 裁判官d and our 賞与金s calculated has made it impossible to know.

Why can't the price of モーター 保険 簡単に go up if you're a bad driver, while good and careful drivers are rewarded with cheaper 賞与金s?

Pricing 保険 has become arbit rary ― and it's the ordinary 法律-がまんするing drivers who are 支払う/賃金ing the cost. It's a 商売/仕事 that is crying out for some good, old-fashioned ありふれた sense.

詐欺 success

Here at Money Mail we give banks a hard time over 詐欺. And it's 権利 that we do so because banks need to be doing all they can to 保護する 顧客s from losing everything they have worked hard all their lives for.

But we are pleased to 報告(する)/憶測?that the Banking 議定書 has 妨げるd nearly £40 million 価値(がある) of 詐欺 and led to more than 200 逮捕(する)s ― in its first year of 操作/手術 全国的な.

The 計画/陰謀 has seen bank staff trained to look out for 顧客s who may have been conned ― and then to step in to help.

But Margaret's story 最高潮の場面s just how difficult the challenge is, with scammers having utterly 納得させるd her that she needed to を引き渡す her life 貯金.

While Margaret's story had a happy ending, it was only because she was able to go to a High Street 支店 and interact with another human 存在 whose instinct told her something was wrong.

With 支店s の近くにing at a worrying 率, banks need to 行為/法令/行動する to make sure they are still able to keep an 注目する,もくろむ on their most 攻撃を受けやすい 顧客s.

Cashing in?

Last month, our 慎重な 投資家 questioned how much 投資 基金s are making from the 利益/興味 on our cash ― and now we have an answer.?

最新の accounts from 最高の,を越す 投資 壇・綱領・公約 Hargreaves Lansdown show its 利益(をあげる) 利ざや on cash has 増加するd by around 50 per cent in six months, to around £33million.

This far 越えるs the 利益(をあげる) it makes on 株 and 投資 基金s. This is of 関心 to Money Mail and should be of 関心 to the 財政上の 行為/行う 当局.
