Author rewrites history

An author yesterday became the first writer to 最高の,を越す both the fiction and 非,不,無-fiction bestseller 名簿(に載せる)/表(にあげる)s at the same time.

Conn Iggulden has repeated the success of The Dangerous 調書をとる/予約する for Boys, which teaches children about everything from conkers to 秘かに調査する games, with his new historical fantasy story Wolf of the Plains, based on the childhood of Genghis 旅宿泊所.

Both now 最高の,を越す the charts in their 各々の 部類s.

Mr Iggulden, 36, said: "I am 絶対 thrilled. This is the 肉親,親類d of thing I used to dream about as a child.

"I have been 令状ing a 調書をとる/予約する a year 事実上 since I was 13, but of course most were knocked 支援する. I have written-poems and short stories for as long as I can remember."

Wolf of the Plains, published at the start of the month, has already sold 13,000 copies.

Since The Dangerous 調書をとる/予約する for Boys was first published in June last year, it has sold 520,000. It encourages boys to 調査する their adventurous 味方する with 伝統的な activities such as making treehouses, catapults and training dogs to do tricks.

Former teacher Mr Iggulden, a father of three from Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire, wrote the 調書をとる/予約する with his 34-year-old brother Hal.

"In this age of ビデオ games and 動きやすい phones there must still be a place for knots, treehouses and stories of incredible courage," he said.
