Did you struggle with maths at school? Do you

hate 人物/姿/数字s and find crosswords difficult? If so, Carol Vorderman's 最高の Brain Workout - Day Three is for you.

There is no truth in the theory that mathematicians are born, not made. Even the most

creative and imaginative の中で us will have a 広大な/多数の/重要な, usually 未開発の, problem-solving 資源 locked away.

? How to keep your mind sharp

? 表明する yourself 明確に

? How to 改善する your memory

Nothing is 直す/買収する,八百長をするd at birth. We can all 増加する our knowledge, 知能 and abilities at any

行う/開催する/段階 in life. I'm a 会社/堅い 信奉者 that the more you use your brain, the better it gets.

When I start 記録,記録的な/記録するing a new 一連の Countdown I often find I'm rusty at the numbers game and my 速度(を上げる)s will be halved.

So during the morning and while the letters games are in 進歩, I practise about 100 numbers games to get my 速度(を上げる) 支援する up to where it should be and then I'm raring to go.

Practice doesn't just make perfect - in my 事例/患者 it helps me keep my 職業. That is, of course, until an 11-year-old boy called Bradley Cates comes along and shows me how 急速な/放蕩な I really should be!

熟考する/考慮するs have shown that if you practise logic and problem-solving exerc ises, you 現実に

刺激する new neural pathways and patterns of mental activity, and that 大いに 高めるs the

way your brain 機能(する)/行事s.

The more you practise, the more efficient your brain will become at 過程ing (警察などへの)密告,告訴(状).

But it's not 平易な. Just as 最高の,を越す 競技者s have to train, you need to 押し進める your brain in directions

it may not find comfortable.

ーするために 達成する any brainboosting 利益s you need to challenge your brain with problem-solving 演習s on a 正規の/正選手 basis.

Each time you make your brain work that little

bit harder, you will be creating new neural pathways that will make the next problem you

取り組む that much easier.

Today's 演習s are designed to challenge and develop the all-important problem-solving area

of your brain. But before you 開始する,打ち上げる into them, take a few minutes to think about the way your brain 作品.

While some people 対処する best with 仕事s that 要求する visual 技術s, others may prefer 審理,公聴会

or physical 技術s. Once you know which type you are, you can work out the best way to learn.

If 令状ing things 負かす/撃墜する does not help you to learn new facts, you might find it easier to 過程 (警察などへの)密告,告訴(状) if you listen to it.

Trying 説 it out loud or 記録,記録的な/記録するing it and playing it 支援する to yourself several times. If you harbour a 恐れる or loathing of anything mathematical, start with 10 minutes every other day and build up to more.

It's not much - try switching off the TV for a few minutes if it's boring. You've got so much more to 伸び(る).
