Chapmans bring their weird science to Tate

At first ちらりと見ること it looks like a surreal 科学の 実験 存在 行為／行うd on someone's 世帯 器具s.

In fact it is the 最新の bronze sculpture from modern art 二人組 the Chapman Brothers, which are going on 陳列する，発揮する at Tate Britain.

する権利を与えるd When Humans Walked The Earth, the sculpture, 負担d with 性の 言及／関連s, is 奮起させるd by their 1993 work Little Death Machine which is in the Tate's collection.

Elements of that work, 含むing a brain, milk 瓶／封じ込めるs and 道具s, are 再生するd in bronze to create a 一連の "impossible" machines.

Jake and Dinos Chapman - who were 指名するd for a Turner Prize in 2003 - created the sculpture to 同時に起こる／一致する with a retrospective of their work 現在／一般に 存在 held at Tate Liverpool.

A Tate Britain spokeswoman said When Humans Walked The Earth was rich with artistic and philosophical meaning.

She said: "The machines emulate 生物学の and psychological 明言する／公表するs such as breathing, thinking, copulation and death - contesting the distinctions we make between man and machine and 仮定／引き受けることs about historical 進歩.

"When Humans Walked The Earth 2007 questions mechanistic theories of the human mind - 顕著に those of the 開拓するing psychoanalyst Sigmund Freud - and also makes 言及／関連 to Dada and Surrealism's ability to transform everyday 反対するs into something that challenges 従来の perception."

In an interview to 示す the Tate Liverpool retrospective, the brothers said their bronze machines had a life of their own.

"Even though they're made of bronze we like to think they have congealed or crystallised into 可能性 for 推論する／理由s beyond our 支配（する）／統制する... in a manner that 完全に 辞退するs any form of possessive 支配（する）／統制する we might make over them even if we were stupid self-満足させるd artists," they 明言する／公表するd.
