Aust man develops personal defibrillator
A Sydney man has developed the world's first personal defibrillator after almost losing his wife to cardiac 逮捕（する）.
Sarah Casey, who was 39, was lying in bed next to her husband Donovan when she started making unusual clucking noises.
He sprang into 活動／戦闘, calling an 救急車 and 成し遂げるing CPR until paramedics arrived, which was quickly because they were around the corner.
Luckily, Sarah was one of the few who 生き残る, and Mr Casey has made it his 使節団 to help save the lives of others by developing CellAED.
The 部隊, designed using the 科学（工学）技術 of Australian med-tech start-up 早い 返答 復活, is portable, cheaper and much smaller than a 基準 defibrillator.
It's just 達成するd 名簿（に載せる）／表（にあげる）ing on the ARTG and will soon be 利用できる to the Australian public for use in their homes for as little as one tenth of the cost of 現在／一般に 利用できる 自動化するd 外部の defibrillators (AEDs).
Sudden cardiac 逮捕（する） is the world's biggest 原因（となる）s of premature death, 殺人，大当り between seven and nine million people every year.
At the same time, more than 80 per cent of sudden cardiac 逮捕（する）s occur in the home.
Because the chances of 存在 生き返らせるd に引き続いて a cardiac 逮捕（する） 減少（する）s 10 per cent for every minute without defibrillation, the 返答 needs to be 早い, Mr Casey says.
"Sudden cardiac 逮捕（する） has a 生き残り 率 of いっそう少なく than one per cent," he said.
"This is because it kills so quickly and because most 証言，証人／目撃するs to a sudden cardiac 逮捕（する） don't have the 技術s or 接近 to an AED to help save a life."
He said his 装置 wa fully 自動化するd, designed to （悪事，秘密などを）発見する a shockable heart rhythm and 配達する shocks when needed to keep a 患者's heart （警官の）巡回区域，受持ち区域ing before first responders arrive.
While most AEDs cost more than $3000, the CellAED will sell from $299.
