Welch's race to play NRL 決勝戦 over

"I really believed I could get 支援する, but I needed everything to go 権利.
"I just saw the specialist then and they said, 'You could be running and playing but you wouldn't be 成し遂げるing. 特に with your history with two ACLs, you don't want to do that'.

"(Manly hooker) Karl Lawton （機の）カム 支援する from his 決裂 in five months and a couple of days," Welch said.
"(Former Brisbane fullback) Darius Boyd 決裂d his Achilles in December of 2014 and was 支援する playing the first Origin the next year in just over five months.
"I always had in my 長，率いる that if they could do it, I could do it. I ripped in but it hasn't 進歩d 同様に as I hoped."

"From the get-go James was pretty honest with me and he said, 'Mate, you won't get 支援する'," Welch said.
