ハリケーン 物陰/風下 生成するs big swells along northern Caribbean while it churns through open waters

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico (AP) - ハリケーン 物陰/風下 whipped up waves of more than 15 feet (5 メーターs) on Monday as the 部類 3 嵐/襲撃する cranked through open waters just north of the Caribbean 地域.

In August, the 国家の Ocean and Atmospheric 行政 updated its 予測(する) and 二塁打d the chance to 60% for an above-normal ハリケーン system. Between 14 and 21 指名するd 嵐/襲撃するs are 予測(する), with six to 11 予報するd to 強化する into ハリケーンs. Of those, two to five are 予測(する) to become major ハリケーンs - 嵐/襲撃するs that are in 部類s 3, 4 or 5.

Also 渦巻くing in the open 大西洋 was ハリケーン Margot, which became a 部類 1 嵐/襲撃する Monday afternoon. The fifth ハリケーン of the season was 位置を示すd nearly 1,300 miles (nearly 2,100 キロメーターs) northwest of the Cabo Verde islands. It had 最大限 支えるd 勝利,勝つd of 80 mph (130 kph) and was moving north at 12mph (19 kph). It was 予測(する) to remain over open waters.
