Doctors: 肺炎 is serious but Clinton should bounce 支援する

NEW YORK (AP) ― Hillary Clinton's diagnosis of 肺炎 is a serious 関心, but something from which she soon should 回復する, several doctors and 医療の 専門家s said Sunday.

Clinton, 68, 突然に left a 9/11 周年記念日 儀式 in New York after she became "overheated and dehydrated," her doctor said. Clinton went to her daughter's nearby apartment for a short stay, and 現れるd before noon to tell reporters, "I'm feeling 広大な/多数の/重要な."

Several hours later, Clinton's 内科医 said the Democratic 大統領の 指名された人 was 診断するd on Friday with 肺炎. "She was put on 抗生物質s, and advised to 残り/休憩(する) and 修正する her schedule," said Dr. Lisa R. Bardack, an internist who practices 近づく Clinton's 郊外の New York home.

WHAT IS PNEUMONIA?

HOW IS IT TREATED?

肺炎 is 一般的に trea ted quickly and 効果的に with 抗生物質s. Speaking 一般に and not about Clinton's 事例/患者, Schaffner said 患者s with a 穏やかな 肺炎 can 回復する with 抗生物質s, a few days of 残り/休憩(する) and good hydration. That's 特に true of someone who does strenuous work, such as a rigorous (選挙などの)運動をする schedule.

But Clinton does need to take it 本気で, some 専門家s said.

People over age 65 have a harder time returning to normal than do younger 患者s. Many people her age need a week or more to 回復する from even a 穏やかな 事例/患者 of 肺炎, said Dr. Sharon Bergquist, an Emory University assistant professor of 薬/医学 who 専攻するs in 内部の 薬/医学.

CLINTON'S RECENT HEALTH ISSUES

It's possible Clinton may have assumed that symptoms from an earlier viral 感染 were 予定 to アレルギーs, Schaffner said.

CLINTON'S MEDICAL HISTORY
