AP FACT CHECK: Trump and his overdrawn apocalypse
WASHINGTON (AP) - In 大統領 Donald Trump's estimation, the U.S. 国境 isn't 単に porous, it's "wide open." 不明瞭 and danger are everywhere, even Sweden. American 組織／基盤／下部構造 isn't just in need of 改良 but it's in "total disrepair and decay." The health 法律 is not only 欠陥d, but it's an "絶対の and total 大災害."
His apocalyptic 見解（をとる） of everything he ーするつもりであるs to 直す／買収する，八百長をする leaves no nuance, but that's where reality often resides. For example, Trump himself 現実に likes parts of former 大統領 Barack Obama's health 精密検査する, such as the 延長するd ニュース報道 for older children. And the U.S. remains an 経済的な powerhouse able to 輸送（する） goods in a 強調する／ストレスd system of roads, 橋（渡しをする）s and ports that are not in total decay.
But the 大統領，／社長 is one to overreach for superlatives, whether 述べるing the 明言する／公表する of things as he 設立する them or what he 計画（する）s to do about them - or （人命などを）奪う，主張するs to have done already.

Some 声明s from the past week:
TRUMP: "Obamacare covers very few people."
THE FACTS: That's only true if you consider more than 20 million people to be "very few." That's how many are covered by the two major 構成要素s of the 法律: 拡大するd Medicaid and 補助金を支給するd 私的な health 保険.
The Medicaid 拡大, 可決する・採択するd by 31 明言する／公表するs and the 地区 of Columbia, covers about 11 million low-income p eople, によれば the 連邦議会の 予算 Office. The other, more 明白な, 構成要素 is HealthCare.gov. TRUMP, repeating a week-old 主張 that Sweden is an example of 暴力／激しさ and extremism 予定 to 移民／移住: "Take a look at what happened in Sweden. I love Sweden, 広大な／多数の／重要な country, 広大な／多数の／重要な people, I love Sweden. But they understand. The people over there understand I'm 権利."
THE FACTS: Trump was ridiculed in Sweden after he 警告するd at a 決起大会／結集させる in Florida that テロ行為 was growing in Europe and something terrible had happened in Sweden the previous night. But there had been no 驚くべき／特命の／臨時の trouble that night in Sweden, a country welcoming to 移民，移住（する）s.
Two days later, though, a 暴動 broke out after police 逮捕（する）d a 麻薬 罪，犯罪 嫌疑者，容疑者／疑う. Cars were 始める，決める on 解雇する／砲火／射撃 and shops 略奪するd, but no one was 負傷させるd. TRUMP: The U.S. is 供給するing 安全 to other nations "while leaving our own 国境 wide open. Anybody can come in. But don't worry, we're getting a 塀で囲む. ... We're getting bad people out of this country."
THE FACTS: His wide-open 国境 （人命などを）奪う，主張する is 偽の. The number of 逮捕（する）s of 違法な 国境 crossers - the best 手段 of how many people are trying to cross 不法に - remains at a 40-year low. The U.S. 政府 under 大統領s George W. Bush and Obama 概略で 二塁打d the 階級s of the 国境 Patrol in the past １０年間 or so.
In 新規加入, the number of people expelled from the country since Trump took office Jan. 20 has not been 公表する／暴露するd. This month, 母国 安全 公式の／役人s have said 680 people were 逮捕（する）d in a weeklong 成果／努力 to find and 逮捕（する） 犯罪の 移民，移住（する）s living in the 部隊d 明言する／公表するs 不法に. Three-４半期/4分の1s of those people had been 罪人／有罪を宣告するd of 罪，犯罪s, 母国 安全 長官 John Kelly said. The remaining 25 パーセント were not.
The 政府 has not 供給するd （警察などへの）密告，告訴（状） about who was 逮捕（する）d in that 一斉検挙, so it's impossible to 決定する how many ギャング（団） members or 麻薬 lords were in that group. It is also 不明瞭な how many of those "bad people" have 現実に been 国外追放するd.
That 一斉検挙 was 大部分は planned before Trump took office and was alternately 述べるd by the Trump 行政 as a 決まりきった仕事 施行 成果／努力 and a signal of his 誓約（する） to take a harder line on 違法な 移民／移住. During the Obama 行政, 類似の 操作／手術s were carried out that 産する／生じるd thousands of 逮捕（する）s.

TRUMP: "We have 権限を与えるd the construction, one day, of the Keystone and Dakota 接近 pipelines. And 問題／発行するd a new 支配する - this took place while I was getting ready to 調印する. I said who makes the 麻薬を吸うs for the pipeline? 井戸／弁護士席, sir, it comes from all over the world, isn't that wonderful? I said nope, comes from the 部隊d 明言する／公表するs, or we're not building it. American steel. If they want a pipeline in the 部隊d 明言する／公表するs, they're going to use 麻薬を吸う that's made in the 部隊d 明言する／公表するs."
THE FACTS: It's not that straightforward. Trump's (n)役員／(a)執行力のある order leaves lots of wiggle room on how much U.S. steel is 現実に used. The order 明言する／公表するs new, 拡大するd or 修理d pipelines in the U.S. must use U.S. steel "to the 最大限 extent possible" and all 借りがあるd by 法律. That's not an all-USA 委任統治（領）.
What's 裁判官d possible in the Keystone XL 事業／計画（する） remains to be seen. 麻薬を吸うs are already 購入（する）d. Contrary to his 声明, Trump has not 認可するd the 事業／計画（する）. Rather, he 生き返らせるd it by asking TransCanada to resubmit its 使用／適用.
TransCanada did so in late January while 説 it needs time to review how any buy-American 計画（する） would 影響する／感情 the company. It has said the 大多数 of steel would be from North America, but that 含むs Canada and Mexico.
Trump's Jan. 24 order on U.S. steel has little 影響 on the Dakota 接近 事業／計画（する） because it is nearly 完全にする.

TRUMP on 逮捕（する）s of people in the country 不法に: "It's a 軍の 操作／手術 because what has been 許すd to come into our country, when you see ギャング（団） 暴力／激しさ that you've read about like never before and all of the things, much of that is people who are here 不法に. THE FACTS: He was wrong in calling 移民／移住 施行 a 軍の 操作／手術.
移民／移住 and Customs 施行, 責任がある finding and 国外追放するing 移民，移住（する）s in the country 不法に, is a 非軍事の 法律 施行 機関. 軍の 職員／兵員 were not 責任がある 最近の （警察の）手入れ，急襲s that resulted in the 逮捕（する）s of 680 people. Planning for that 一斉検挙 had been 進行中で during the previous and was in step with large, periodic （警察の）手入れ，急襲s when Obama was 大統領，／社長.
Kelly 否定するd Trump on the nature of 計画（する）s to step up 国境 施行: "There will be no use of 軍の 軍隊s in 移民／移住," Kelly said. "There will be no - repeat, no - 集まり 国外追放s."
