重要なs is finding joy on 法廷，裁判所 and winning again in Australia
MELBOURNE, Australia (AP) - Madison 重要なs says she's playing carefree tennis again and doesn't feel any 圧力 at her first Grand 激突する tournament since her emotional loss to Sloane Stephens in the U.S. Open final five months ago.
Perhaps even more importantly, her coach, Lindsay Davenport, says the 22-year-old American has put an 傷害-疫病／悩ますd year behind her and is healthier than she's been in a long time.
After （警官の）巡回区域，受持ち区域ing the No. 8-seeded Caroline Garcia 6-3, 6-2 in a きびきびした 68 minutes on Monday, 重要なs is also 支援する into the 準々決勝 of the Australian Open for the first time in three years. And she's looking ますます 確信して with each 勝利，勝つ at Melbourne Park.

"I think the biggest thing for me is I'm just really enjoying myself out on the 法廷，裁判所," she said. "I realized once I just let things happen and 信用d myself and just played my game, good things were happening and good 結果s were happening. So I just keep 焦点（を合わせる）ing on that and not putting as much 圧力 on myself."
重要なs has not just played 井戸／弁護士席 in her first four matches at the Australian Open, she's 支配するing. She's lost 19 games in four matches - the fewest の中で the women who are left - and she's 普通の／平均（する）ing just over an hour on 法廷，裁判所 per match.
A year ago, 重要なs wasn't even able to make the trip to Australia. She had just undergone 外科 on her 負傷させるd left wrist and was sitting at home with a cast on her arm. Her return to the 小旅行する several months later was 平等に 堅い, with a string of 早期に losses sending her 最高位の 宙返り／暴落するing out of the 最高の，を越す 10.
But then 重要なs had her remarkable run at the U.S. Open, 決起大会／結集させるing to 勝利，勝つ 支援する-to-支援する matches late at night before finally running out of steam against Stephens in a lopsided final. The loss was "破滅的な," she said, but she's since 設立する new 視野 on the entire two-week experience in New York.
"I was so happy to even get there in the first place after having such a rough beginning of my season, that after telling myself that a couple of times I definitely finally moved on," she said. "And just 手配中の，お尋ね者 to put myself in the same position again so that maybe I could have a different 結果."

"It's so 平易な for people in the immediacy after the (U.S. Open) match to 非難する her, 'Oh, she's never going to do it,' or 'Oh, she played bad,' but no one really knows everything that was going on," Davenport said. "The poor thing played like every match at 1 a.m., she was exhausted, her 脚 was bothering her."
"In the offseason it was 明らかな to all of us on her team that she's going 負かす／撃墜する the 権利 path, whether that means that it's here that it all happens or maybe it's a few months," Davenport 追加するd. "She's just 最高の happy to be healthy, to be playing, to be enjoying it again."
重要なs next plays two-time major 勝利者 Angelique Kerber, who is enjoying a resurgence of her own after a disappointing 2017 and is so far undefeated this year, winning 13 straight match es. Kerber, the Australian and U.S. Open 勝利者 in 2016, is the only Grand 激突する 支持する／優勝者 remaining in the women's （テニスなどの）シングルス draw.
重要なs knows it will be a difficult match and isn't trying to get ahead of herself and start thinking about another possible Grand 激突する final.
But when she does get 支援する there, Davenport believes that 重要なs will be ready.
"She wants to get another chance to play the biggest match of her life," Davenport said. "And play it 異なって."
