On the shop 床に打ち倒す, 労働者s wonder what Brexit will bring
LONDON (AP) - It's an understatement to say that Michael O'Brien is worried about Brexit.
O'Brien is a 監督者 at Clarity-The Soap Co., which 雇うs visually impaired adults at a factory in east London. A tall man with a thatch of gray hair, O'Brien has a manner so 平易な that it sounds as if he is talking about the 天候 rather than an 問題／発行する that 激しく divides British society - the country's ぼんやり現れるing 出発 from the European Union.
"(This 職業) means everything to me," he said, standing beside a machine that magnifies 文書s so he can 跡をつける invoices. "When I （機の）カム here 4 ? years ago, I was in a bad way. I got (laid off) from my last 職業, didn't think I'd work again. And I （機の）カム here and it's given me a lifeline."

The 苦悩 is palpable at Clarity, where people understand that 職業s can be precious and hard to come by.
The company traces its roots to 1854 as a social 企業 that 雇うs people with disabilities: Queen Victoria was its first patron and Charles Dickens supported it. Clarity has 生き残るd two World Wars, the Blitz and the 広大な／多数の／重要な 不景気, so Brexit should be a piece of cake. But 不確定 about what 支配するs will 適用する to 貿易（する） with the European Union after Britain leaves the 圏 is crimping the company's ability to 計画（する） for the 未来.
Before Britain 投票（する）d to leave the EU in June 2016, Clarity was 準備するing to 増加する 生産／産物 as part of an 成果／努力 to 拡大する its 申し込む／申し出ing of high-end 製品s, 含むing soaps 手渡す made in the Lake 地区 in northern England. The company dreams of 追加するing another one or two 生産／産物 lines at its factory in east London and 追加するing to its 115-person 全労働人口, but has had to refocus energy on planning for Brexit, spending hard-earned cash to 備蓄（する） 成分s.

In some ways, Clarity is better off than companies with more （危険などに）さらす to the 可能性のある of 大混乱 at the 国境 in the event of a no-取引，協定 Brexit because their market is in the 部隊d Kingdom. But the 可能性のある for Brexit to 混乱に陥れる／中断させる their dreams is 巨大な.
The company, with 年次の 歳入 of 2.6 million 続けざまに猛撃するs (3.4 million), sits at the end of 供給（する） chains that would be 混乱に陥れる／中断させるd if Brexit brings 支援する 国境 支配（する）／統制するs and 関税s.

Even if those 危険s don't materialize, 準備するing for them is 証明するing to be a drain on attention and 資源s.
"We're having to spend a lot of time at the moment contingency planning, thinking about a lot of 不確定 and working through those models, and that's time that we could be going out there, telling our story - encouraging people to buy from us," said Camilla Marcus-Dew, the 長，率いる of 商業の at Clarity. "I hope we can move past the 不確定 and go 今後 with 信用／信任."
It 推定する／予想するd to grow sales by half a million 続けざまに猛撃するs ($646,000) for the year, but now trimmed that 人物／姿／数字 to 200,000 続けざまに猛撃するs 予定 to 不確定 and the sluggishness of the economy.

Clarity has a story to tell, which is important in an ever-（人が）群がるd marketplace as 消費者s are becoming more socially consciousness and want to know where their 製品s come from.
Clarity was hoping to 出資する on that burgeoning 利益／興味. It puts the 指名するs of the people that work there on the label of its soaps. Yvonne in 瓶／封じ込めるing gets について言及するd on the honey blossom 瓶／封じ込める of BECO. 手渡す wash, as does Shane in 一括ing and Stephen, the receptionist, who 迎える／歓迎するs 訪問者s with a 抱擁する smile together with his working dog Owen, who has his own cushion 近づく the 前線 door.
Any disruption to 商売／仕事 means more than a 攻撃する，衝突する to the 底（に届く） line. It is felt 本人自身で.
"We don't want to slow 負かす／撃墜する," said Marcus-Dew. "The 職業s that we create here are invaluable. They are 職業s for many people that wouldn't be able to work どこかよそで. And to create those 職業s we need that 信用／信任 and for this indecisi on to be over as quickly as possible."
Brexit will touch every 面 of life in this country of 66 million. Besides 関税s and 輸入する problems, Brexit could 減ずる the availability of 労働者s - whether 技術d ones in 財政／金融 or healthcare or much-needed unskilled seasonal 労働者s 選ぶing fruit and vegetables. It could 妨げる academic and 科学の 研究 and even 再燃する sectarian 暴力／激しさ on the Irish 国境.
Everyone has a 火刑／賭ける and that's part of what makes Brexit hard to agree on.
On the shop 床に打ち倒す, people like O'Brien who will be 影響する／感情d by the political 騒動 can only watch.
"Of course it's a worry. People come here to work. They want to work," he said, 追加するing that Clarity is unique and that anything which 脅すs it would be terrible. "If this place doesn't 存在する, there's not another place like it in the London area. So as I say, it would be a 悲劇."
