Floods, mudslides from 強い雨 in Japan kill at least 10
TOKYO (AP) - 豪雨 that 原因（となる）d flooding and mudslides in towns east of Tokyo left at least 10 people dead and 追加するd fresh 損失 in areas still 回復するing from 最近の 台風s, 公式の／役人s said Saturday.

The death （死傷者）数 from the flooding 含むd nine people in Chiba and one in Fukushima.
While rains and 洪水s 沈下するd, parts of Chiba were still inundated. About 4,700 homes were out of running water and some train services were 延期するd or 一時停止するd.
In Midori 地区 in Chiba, mudslides 鎮圧するd three houses, 殺人，大当り three people who were buried underneath them. Another mudslide 攻撃する，衝突する a house in nearby Ichihara city, 殺人，大当り a woman. In Nagara and Chonan towns, four people 溺死するd when their 乗り物s were 潜水するd.
"There was enormous noise and 衝撃, 'にわか景気' like an 地震, so I went outside. Then look what happened. I was terrified," said a Midori 居住（者） who lives 近づく a 鎮圧するd home. "Rain was even more 激しい than the 台風s."

The downpour （機の）カム from a low-圧力 system above Japan's main island of Honshu that moved northward later Friday. 力／強力にする was 回復するd Saturday at most of the 6,000 Chiba 世帯s that had lost electricity. About 390 people remained at 避難所s Saturday afternoon.
Two weeks ago, 台風 Hagibis 原因（となる）d 普及した flooding and left more than 80 people dead or 推定するd dead across Japan. An earlier 台風 in September had 荒廃させるd Chiba, where more than 50,000 homes were 損失d or destroyed, and 100 others flooded. Friday's downpour flooded more than 150 homes and 損失d several others.
Yoshiki Takeuchi, an office 労働者 who lives in a riverside house in Chiba's Sodegaura city, said he had just finished 一時的な 修理s to his roof after tiles were blown off by the September 台風 when Friday's rains 攻撃する，衝突する hard.
"I wasn't ready for another 災害 like this. I've had enough of this, and I need a break," he told Kyodo News 機関.
