UK has modest success at 2023 Oscars with four 勝利，勝つs
The UK enjoyed modest success at the 2023 Oscars, winning a total of four awards during the night.
James Friend 選ぶd up the cinematography award for his work on the epic First World War film All 静かな On The Western 前線.
Friend’s 勝利，勝つ comes just weeks after 類似の success at the Baftas and on both occasions Friend （警官の）巡回区域，受持ち区域 his fellow 同国人 Sir Roger Deakins, who had been 指名するd for the romantic 演劇 Empire Of Light.

An Irish Goodbye took the award for best short film.

The film is based on Charlie Mackesy’s novel of the same 指名する and? attracted a UK TV audience of 7.3 million, making it one of the most watched programmes of last Christmas.
Finally, the award for best sound went to the team who worked on the blockbuster sequel 最高の，を越す Gun: 無所属の政治家, which 含むd British talent Chris Burdon and 示す Taylor.

Last year the UK won six.
