SCOTS SWIMMERS EYE GOLDEN FIRST DAY
Robbie Renwick is ready to make a 連邦／共和国 Games splash as the talking stops and the 活動／戦闘 starts.
After a seven-year build-up to Glasgow 2014, Renwick and his Scotland swimming team-mates are 目的（とする）ing to make it a golden first day of 冒険的な 活動／戦闘 for the host nation as they race for メダルs in the pool.
The Aberdeen swimmer grabbed Scotland's first gold four years ago in the 200 metres 自由型 and is 目的（とする）ing to match the feat at 400m in Tollcross on Thursday night.
And the 26-year-old is joined by fellow Scottish メダル prospects Hannah Miley and Michael Jamieson.
Renwick said: "It would be 広大な／多数の／重要な to get the ball rolling with another gold メダル, that's for sure.
"That first night is hopefully going to be electric. Scottish swimming is looking really strong. We just need to keep ourselves to ourselves and let the 業績／成果s speak for themselves."
Miley is up against Aimee Wilmott in the 400m individual medley and the 21-year-old English swimmer is relishing the prospect of 直面するing her friend and the home （人が）群がる at Tollcross.
Wilmott is 上げるd by the knowledge that she pipped Miley when the pair last raced in January but knows a 同志／支持者 （人が）群がる will be keen to see the balance 是正するd.
"I'm looking 今後 to getting in and racing Hannah and seeing what happens," Wilmott said. "It could be 地雷 on the day, it could be Hannah's. It depends on how it all goes - if I don't get too excited and don't let all the Scots supporting Hannah get to me!"
Jamieson is 率直に 目的（とする）ing for a world 記録，記録的な／記録する in the 200m 平泳ぎ but a gold メダル would surely 十分である.
And 二塁打 Olympic 支持する／優勝者 Rebecca Adlington is 楽観的な 25-year-old Jamieson, who won silver in his speciality event at London 2012, will be able to 押し進める on to reach the 最高の，を越す of the podium.
"I'm sure he's a 捕らえる、獲得する of 神経s but if anyone can 扱う it it's definitely Michael," Adlington told BBC One.
"He's a born racer and he loves that 競争.

"Only Michael will be disappointed if he steps out of that pool not 達成するing what he wants to, nobody else."
