PALO ALTO, Calif., Feb 13 (Reuters) - 大統領 Barack Obama asked U.S. (n)役員/(a)執行力のあるs on Friday for closer 協調 in defending against hackers after high-profile attacks on companies like Sony that exposed 証拠不十分s in America's cyber 弁護s.

Speaking at Stanford University, Obama told Silicon Valley and 財政上の services CEOs that they needed to 株 more (警察などへの)密告,告訴(状) more quickly both with each other and with his 行政.

"政府 cannot do this alone. But the fact is that the 私的な 部門 can't do it alone either because it's 政府 that often has the 最新の (警察などへの)密告,告訴(状) on new 脅しs," he told a 集会 of CEOs.

Obama has moved cybersecurity toward the 最高の,を越す of his 2015 協議事項 after the 最近の 違反s but 上級の 人物/姿/数字s from the tech world who are at 半端物s with the 行政 over 政府 監視 stayed away from his speech.

The Sony attack was 特に worrying for U.S. 公式の/役人s, who 非難するd North Korea for stealing data, debilitating computers and 圧力ing the studio to 停止(させる) the 解放(する) of "The Interview," a satirical film about leader Kim Jong Un.

Obama, in an interview with tech news website Re/code, said the Sony attack was 特に worrisome because "it's not as if North Korea is 特に good as this." The 大統領,/社長 追加するd that 中国 and Russia are "very good" and Iran is "good" at cyberattacks.

"There's only one way to defend America from these cyber 脅しs and that is through 政府 and 産業 working together, 株ing appropriate (警察などへの)密告,告訴(状) as true partners," Obama said in his speech.

He met 個人として with a small group of 商売/仕事 leaders in Silicon Valley to try to mend 盗品故買者s with tech companies still smarting over 損失 to their 商売/仕事s when 政府 監視 practices were exposed by former 国家の 安全 機関 請負業者 Edward Snowden.

Obama 定評のある in the Re/code interview that the Snowden 公表,暴露s "were really harmful ーに関して/ーの点でs of the 信用 between the 政府 and many of these companies, in part because it had an 衝撃 on their 底(に届く) lines."

Upset about the 欠如(する) of 改革(する)s to 監視 programs, the CEOs of Google Inc, Facebook Inc and Yahoo Inc stayed away from Friday's 会議/協議会.

Apple Inc 大統領 Tim Cook gave an 演説(する)/住所 and CEOs from PayPal, Intel 会社/団体, ビザ and other 財政上の services companies …に出席するd.

Cook 警告するd about 明示していない 脅しs to privacy.

"We still live in a world where not all people are 扱う/治療するd 平等に. Too many people are not 解放する/自由な to practice their 宗教, or speak their mind, or love who they choose," Cook said. "If those of us in positions of 責任/義務 fail to do everything in our 力/強力にする to 保護する the 権利 to privacy, we 危険 far more than money ... we 危険 our way of life."

In his Re/code interview, Obama said Europe's 関心 about privacy for 使用者s of Facebook and Google are "more commercially driven than anything else." He said European companies that "can't compete with ours" are using the 問題/発行する to try to put up "roadblocks" for U.S. tech 会社/堅いs.

MALICIOUS ACTIVITY

American 表明する Co CEO Kenneth Chenault said there was ample room for 改善するing 協調 against 切り開く/タクシー/不正アクセスing.

Though the card issuer ざっと目を通すs 絶えず for 脅しs, Chenault said only 5 パーセント of the 事例/患者s the company finds are already the 支配する of 警告s from other members in the 財政上の 部門's 井戸/弁護士席-regarded (警察などへの)密告,告訴(状) 株ing and 分析 中心. Only 1 パーセント of the 脅しs has already been flagged by the 連邦の 政府.

"(警察などへの)密告,告訴(状)-株ing may be the 選び出す/独身 highest-衝撃, lowest-cost and fastest way to 器具/実施する 能力s we have in 手渡す as a nation to 加速する our 全体にわたる 弁護," Chenault said.

The White House wants 商売/仕事s to 交流 more (警察などへの)密告,告訴(状) about any attacks as 速く as possible.

While at Stanford, Obama 調印するd an (n)役員/(a)執行力のある order 目的(とする)d making that happen by 促進するing 中心s where companies can 株 (警察などへの)密告,告訴(状) with each other and with the Department of 母国 安全.

If emails 攻撃する,衝突する 従業員s at one company with a link to a website 負担d with code that can give hackers 接近 to the 網状組織, that company should feel 解放する/自由な to 警告する its competitors without worrying about 独占禁止の or privacy 支配するs, the White House argues.

The 行政 would like to 自動化する the 過程 as much as possible, so that machines would be 知らせるd what malicious websites or email 演説(する)/住所s to 封鎖する within minutes.

"The (警察などへの)密告,告訴(状) we want to be moving is the (警察などへの)密告,告訴(状) on things that 現実に 示す malicious activity. And so that's malware 指示する人(物)s, that's 指示する人(物)s of 妥協, that's bad IP 演説(する)/住所s," Michael Daniel, the White House's cybersecurity coordina tor, told reporters.

Obama's (n)役員/(a)執行力のある order is one step in a long 成果/努力 to make companies 同様に as privacy and 消費者 支持するs more comfortable with 提案するd 法律制定 that would 申し込む/申し出 会社/堅いs 保護 from 存在 告訴するd for 手渡すing over 顧客 (警察などへの)密告,告訴(状) to the 政府.

Some (n)役員/(a)執行力のあるs said cybersecurity 問題/発行するs were 主要な to greater fragmentation of 全世界の 商売/仕事, and that the 私的な 部門 could not 打ち勝つ that without more serious discussion between 政府s.

"There's a 保護貿易主義 developing," said Bank of America CEO Brian Moynihan. "You've got to 蓄える/店 the data here, you've got to use these providers." (付加 報告(する)/憶測ing by Joseph Menn, Julia Edwards and Amanda Becker; 令状ing by Alistair Bell; Editing by John Whitesides, Christian Plumb and Eric Beech)
