Trump's comments on 黒人／ボイコット 国会議員 hyperbole, not 人種差別主義 -最高の，を越す 補佐官

WASHINGTON, July 28 (Reuters) - 大統領 Donald Trump was speaking hyperbolically when he 攻撃するd out at a 目だつ African-American 国会議員 by calling his 地区 "disgusting, ネズミ and rodent infested," his 事実上の／代理 長，指導者 of staff said on Sunday, 否定するing the comments were 人種差別主義者.
Trump had attacked U.S. 代表者／国会議員 Elijah Cummings, a 支持する／優勝者 for civil 権利s, in a 一連の tweets on Saturday, after the 国会議員 had 非難するd 条件s at U.S. 施設s 住宅 migrants along the Mexican 国境.
"No human 存在 would want to live there," Trump said of Cumming's Baltimore 地区.
White House 事実上の／代理 長，指導者 of staff Mick Mulvaney defended the comments during 外見s on two Sunday morning 会談 shows, 説 Cummings was wrong to 非難する the work of U.S. 移民／移住 officers on the Mexican 国境.
"The 大統領，／社長 is attacking Mr. Cummings for 説 things that are not true about the 国境. It has 絶対 無 to do with race," Mulvaney told Fox News Sunday.
In an interview on CBS's "直面する the Nation," Mulvaney said he understood why the tweets could be perceived as 人種差別主義者 but said: "That doesn't mean it's 人種差別主義者."
Asked whether he believed Trump's comments were hyperbolic, Mulvaney said: "I 絶対 do."
Cummings is the Democratic chairman of the 衆議院 Oversight 委員会, which 投票（する）d 23-16 along party lines on Thursday to 問題／発行する 召喚状s to White House 公式の／役人s, 含むing Trump's daughter Ivanka Trump and son-in-法律 Jared Kushner as part of a 調査（する） into possible 違反s of 政府 記録，記録的な／記録する-keeping 法律s.

"Just take a look, the facts speak far louder than words," Trump tweeted. "The 民主党員s always play the Race Card, when in fact they have done so little for our Nation's 広大な／多数の／重要な African American people. Now, lowest 失業 in U.S. history, and only getting better. Elijah Cummings has failed 不正に."
