Chicago 敗北・負かすd Detroit on an extra-inning walk off wild pitch after Tigers 投手 Jose Cisnero’s fastball to Tim Anderson 攻撃する,衝突する HP Umpire Cory Blaser 直接/まっすぐに and caromed away, 許すing White Sox baserunner Yoan Moncada to 得点する/非難する/20 from third base. Let’s talk 特別手当 走者, 干渉,妨害, and humanity.

As for a game-ending 傷害 a la a pitch to the mask, there is fortuitously no 審議 of stay in vs come out: with the game over, there is no 疑問 the umpire will get 即座の 医療の attention.

Aaron 裁判官's Bullpen 衝突,墜落ing Catch & Carry

After ペテン師 乱打する Max Muncy 論証するd how to 合法的に run within the 走者's 小道/航路 and was therefore 安全な when 攻撃する,衝突する in the 支援する by Yankees catcher Jose Trevino's throw, New York outfielder Aaron 裁判官 衝突,墜落d through the bullpen 盗品故買者 and gate in 権利 field while catching JD Martinez's 飛行機で行く ball.

Yankees 経営者/支配人 Aaron Boone soon left the dugout to argue as the umpires awarded R1 Muncy second base on the play, and 乗組員 長,指導者 Marvin Hudson had to explain baseball's catch-and-carry 支配する to the New York 船長/主将, who had 初めは sought to challenge the 境界 and 走者 placement call. ペテン師 経営者/支配人 Dave Roberts chuckled when told Boone was not challenging the play after all.

公式の/役人 Baseball 支配する 5.09(a)(1) 明言する/公表するs that a 乱打する is out when their "fair or foul 飛行機で行く ball (other than a foul tip) is 合法的に caught by a fielder." In order for the catch to be 合法的な, the fielder "must have one or both feet on or over the playing surface and neither foot inside the dugout or in any other out-of-play area."

OBR 5.06(b)(3)(C) 明言する/公表するs that each 走者 (other than the 乱打する) may 前進する one base when "A fielder, after catching a 飛行機で行く ball, steps or 落ちるs into any out-of-play area." The one base award is made from the 走者's "last 合法的に touched base at the time the fielder entered such out of play area."

Accordingly, fielder 裁判官 合法的に caught the 飛行機で行く ball while still on the playing surface, but then stepped into the bullpen and out of play, resulting in a dead ball. Pursuant to the 支配するs, that meant R1 Muncy—強いるd to remain on or go 支援する to first base to tag up on the caught 飛行機で行く ball—was awarded second base on 裁判官's catch and carry.

Cronenworth Runs Into Umpire, 支配するd Out At 2Nd Base

Padres baserunner Jake Cronenworth ran into 2B Umpire Ryan Wills on an 内野 ground ball as he tried to reach second base, 落ちるing over and 許すing the Cubs plenty of time to get the out. Should this have been umpire 干渉,妨害 or is this nothing...and where should an umpire stand on a play at second base?

To begin, this 衝突/不一致 is not umpire 干渉,妨害 as there are only two forms of umpire 干渉,妨害 in the rulebook: one, when the umpire 干渉するs with the catcher's throw to retire a 走者 (or 干渉するs with the catcher returning the ball to the 投手); and, two, when the umpire working inside (as Wills did here) gets 攻撃する,衝突する by a batted ball before the ball has passed an infielder, 供給するd it did not first touch the 投手.

Thus, there is no umpire 干渉,妨害 and no 推論する/理由 to 宣言する the ball dead: 2B Umpire Wills is considered part of the field as Cronenworth runs into him and the out call 勝つ/広く一帯に広がるs.

As for position, although an 初期の 姿勢 of 深い B along the 内野 grass is proper, perhaps we can borrow from the wild pitch 原則 of (疑いを)晴らすing the catcher to, instead, "(疑いを)晴らす the base path" (or 可能性のある base path, which 含むs the baseline) and thus 避ける the 見込み of a 走者 running into the 支援する of an umpire 準備するing to take a play at the 活動/戦闘 base.

Sheldon Hs Softball 敗北・負かすs Oregon City On Obstruction

Although Oregon City High School threw a no-hitter in its 明言する/公表する 肩書を与える game, it nonetheless lost to Sheldon HS thanks to a walk-off obstruction call at third base to end the game, with umpires awarding Sheldon's baserunner home on the play, 得点する/非難する/20ing the only run of the contest.

With one out and one on—a 走者 at first base whose 攻撃する,衝突する-by-pitch broke up Oregon City's perfect game 企て,努力,提案—in the 底(に届く) of the 7th and tamat inning of play, the home team's 乱打する bunted the ball, resulting in a throwing error when the drawn-in infielder's throw bounced past first base. The 先行する 走者 R1 一連の会議、交渉/完成するd third and 長,率いるd for home as the 弁護 threw to the catcher, who tagged the 走者 for the 明らかな second out of the inning, and threw to second base to tag the 乱打する-走者 for an inning-ending 併殺.

However, the home plate umpire, having 回転/交替d up the third base line as the third base umpire moved in to take a 可能性のある play at second base, signaled a 延期するd dead ball as baserunner R1 passed third base. Replays 示す the fielder 妨げるd the 走者, resulting in an obstruction call and 最終的に a base award that 許すd R1 to 得点する/非難する/20 にもかかわらず 最初 appearing to have been thrown out at home.
