Why must I have a 数字表示式の line?

What if I do not use the internet?
You are a special 事例／患者. BT has 認める this select group of 1.5 million people who are not wired up to the internet may be able to keep using their old landlines until 2030 if they live in an area without fibre 視覚の cable 関係s.
In the 合間, BT says it will be working on 延長するing the fibre 網状組織 over the next few years and sending out engineers to 任命する／導入する cable 接近 to all homes.
How do I know I’m 存在 switched?

Check with your healthcare pendant provider, such as Telecare and ask when you might be 推定する／予想するd to switch. House alarm systems linked up to 緊急 services might also stop working without 存在 adapted. 接触する your alarm provider to discuss the change and if your 安全 system needs to be adapted.

In a 力／強力にする 削減（する） your phone line will stop working ― but as long as you have a fully 告発（する），告訴（する）／料金d 動きやすい phone and a signal this should not be a 災害.
However, for those living in 孤立するd areas 傾向がある to 力／強力にする 削減（する）s or with no 動きやすい 歓迎会 BT sells an £85 殴打／砲列 支援する-up pack.
An 代案／選択肢 is an £80 hybrid phone that switches to working like a 動きやすい phone i f the landline is 負かす／撃墜する. Tell BT you are 攻撃を受けやすい and they should send these gadgets for 解放する／自由な. Be insistent and explain you need help.

Will I have to buy a new phone?
BT says 99 per cent of old phones will work with its service 数字表示式の 発言する／表明する plugging into an adapter. But if you fancy a new phone a BT 必須の 数字表示式の Home Phone costs £30 and plugs into an internet socket without the need for an adapter.
The 数字表示式の phones have a ‘1571’ 解放する／自由な voicemail service but if you already have phone answering machine 器具／備品, and want to continue using this, you might be better continuing with an adapter.
