He said: 'I couldn't stand the smell of food or eating. I didn't eat for a couple of months.

At the time of his wife Melinda's diagnosis, James told MailOnline: 'She is not 推定する／予想するd to live very long, it may be weeks or months.

'She is having 治療, and I can't give up that last 微光 of hope. But the doctors say I have to 直面する facts. She is dying. The though of losing her is so painful, it is difficult to even 熟視する／熟考する.'

Melinda went to her GP in September 2017, after feeling unwell and 苦しむing with a cough.

She said: 'I thought it was just a ウイルス but the doctor 設立する an 感染 in my lower, left 肺 and ear. I was 定める／命ずるd 抗生物質s and sent home.'

'But when I saw the radiographer's 直面する I すぐに knew something was wrong. The next day, I was told I needed その上の 実験（する）s.

'By the time I was told it was 癌 in December, I already knew. Don't ask me how, but I did. I have 行う／開催する／段階 four 肺 癌 with 第２位 癌 scattered here, there and everywhere.

She died just months later, in May 2018.?

鯨 had hoped?Melinda could 打ち勝つ the prognosis, like he did 18 years ago when he was told he had a tumour in his 腎臓 the size of a football.

He said: 'They weren't sure they could operate. I thought I was going to die.'
