Schumer calls for 調査(する) of Chinese rail tech
WASHINGTON (AP) - The 上院's 最高の,を越す 民主党員 is calling on the 連邦の 政府 to step in and 調査/捜査する whether a 計画(する) for new subway cars in New York City designed by a Chinese 明言する/公表する-owned company could 提起する/ポーズをとる a 脅し to 国家の 安全.
Sen. Charles Schumer of New York said in a 声明 to The Associated 圧力(をかける) on Sunday that he's asked the 商務省 to 行為/行う a "最高の,を越す-to-底(に届く) review" after CRRC, one of the world's largest train 製造者s, won a design contest for new subway cars that would 含む "modern train 支配(する)/統制する 科学(工学)技術."
The company hasn't won a 契約 in New York City, which has America's biggest 輸送 system, but it has been awarded 契約s in 最近の years for new subway cars in Los Angeles, Chicago, Boston and Philadelphia.
In 発表するing the contest 勝利者s last year, the 主要都市の Transportation 当局, which operates the subway system, said CRRC had 提案するd 投資するing $50 million of its own money to develop the new subway cars. A 広報担当者 for CRRC Sifang America - the company's arm in Chicago - said a 大多数 of the 構成要素s used in its new rail cars come from U.S. companies and said 関心s about 秘かに調査するing or malware are misplaced.
