I'm 令状ing to see if you can help me get some money 支援する from Spotify for my tech-challenged, K-pop-loving, 65-year-old mum.

Mum is a 抱擁する fan of the Korean boy 禁止(する)d BTS - but she isn't 広大な/多数の/重要な with computers.

As a loyal fan, she 調印するd up to Spotify in September 2020 to stream BTS's music. It's not my taste, but it's a passion she 株 with her grandsons, who love to dance along.

Unfortunately, when mum got new 装置s in June and September last year, she didn't 調印する into her 存在するing Spotify account, but 始める,決める up two new ones. So even though she only used one account at a time, she was still 支払う/賃金ing for all three.

I have calculated the 二塁打 (and 3倍になる) 支払い(額)s 追加する up to £209.79. After chatting with Spotify, it has 申し込む/申し出d to 支払う/賃金 支援する three months' 価値(がある) of two accounts - so £59.94.

I know mum made a mistake, and she should have spotted the extra 告発(する),告訴(する)/料金s. But it was an honest mistake, and Spotify can see that she wasn't using more than one account at time.

I would like Spotify to refund her the remaining £149.85. Can you help us? A.L, Belgium

Helen Crane of This is Money replies: This was up there with the best reader emails I've had since I started 令状ing this column.

First, a short K-pop explainer, for those that might not be in the know. K-pop or Korean pop is a musical 現象 out of South Korea that has 爆発するd in 人気 in the last few years ? and the members of boy 禁止(する)d BTS are の中で the scene's biggest 星/主役にするs.

They have sold more than 40 million albums, have fans across the world, and were the first 非,不,無-English speaking and Asian 行為/法令/行動する to sell out concerts at both Wembley Stadium and Los Angeles' Rose Bowl.

And somewhere along the way, they 選ぶd up a loyal fan in the form of your 65-year-old mum.

She sounds amazing ? and I'm sure her grandsons feel lucky to have such a fun-loving grandma.

I'd hate for this 調印する-in slip-up to (一定の)期間 an end to the family dance parties, so I had to step in and try to help.

How did this happen? When your mum got a new phone and tablet, she went to the Spotify app to continue listening to her favourite tunes.

But instead of entering the email and password she was already using, she 調印するd up to two new accounts by mistake.

One was 始める,決める up with a second email 演説(する)/住所, and the other by clicking 'スピードを出す/記録につける in with Facebook' and 調印 up using those 詳細(に述べる)s.

Usually, subscription services won't let people 調印する up for more than once account with the same email 演説(する)/住所 to 妨げる things like this happening ? but as you say, your mum isn't the most tech-savvy and I can see how she could slip through the 逮捕する.

She had been 支払う/賃金ing £9.99 per month for her Spotify subscription, but with the second account this became £19.98 and then £29.97.

As she used different 支払い(額) cards for these new accounts, though, the 支払い(額)s went out as three lots of £9.99 and it was easier not to 位置/汚点/見つけ出す on her bank 声明s that her 支払い(額)s to Spotify had 3倍になるd in size.

When she did 位置/汚点/見つけ出す it earlier this year, both you and your mum did speak to Spotify. After some 支援する and 前へ/外へ on the online 雑談(する), it 申し込む/申し出d to 支払う/賃金 支援する three months' 価値(がある) of the 偶発の 支払い(額)s, or £59.94.

But that still left your mum almost £150 out of pocket.

Your point of 見解(をとる) is that, while your mum did make a mistake, it was a honest one ? and Spotify could see that she wasn't using 多重の accounts at one time.

'It feels mean of them not to refund something that had 無 cost to them,' you said.

Thankfully, when I spoke to Spotify it did agree to 支払う/賃金 支援する the extra, which was music to my ears.

'Having now spoken with our 顧客 service team and reviewed the 明確な/細部s of [this 顧客's] accounts,?

'I can 確認する that we have 接触するd her to 申し込む/申し出 her a 十分な refund for every month that she had accidentally duplicated accounts.

'This 量s to 21 months in total, at £9.99 a month, so a refund of £209.79. We have also 申し込む/申し出d to の近くに the other accounts she's used to 避ける any その上の 混乱 and 付加 subscriptions.

'We apologise for any inconvenience 原因(となる)d here, and hopefully she can continue to enjoy BTS with her grandsons.'
