Scientist 株 world's first 'conversation' between humans and 鯨s - and say it's the first step to understanding 外国人s

The team told UC Davis that when they first dropped the underwater microphones they heard nothing but weren't 関心d because the 鯨s had traveled thousands of miles from Hawaii and were feeding.

研究員s created the underwater communication 科学（工学）技術 by using sophisticated hydrophones - an underwater 記録，記録的な／記録するing 装置 - and AI algorithms that 記録，記録的な／記録する and 分析する the sounds the 鯨s make.

The AI is trained on data from 鯨 calls and the human language and looks for patterns and language structures.
