Getting red in the 直面する with 激怒（する） might seem like a uniquely human trait.

While the chickens got a little red when they were happy, the scientists 設立する that they got the most colour when they were flustered or agitated.?

Delphine Soulet, one of the 熟考する／考慮する authors at INRAE, told MailOnline: 'This finding may help, for example, to 評価する the 質 of the human-animal 関係.'?

Reddening of the 直面する during times of agitation has already been 観察するd in a few other birds such as blue and yellow macaws.

To see if chickens had a 類似の 返答, the 研究員s at the French 国家の 研究 学校／設ける for 農業, Food and 環境 (INRAE) 観察するd six Sussex laying 女／おっせかい屋s over a period of three weeks?

The birds were either fed a delicious 扱う／治療する of mealworms or were 逮捕（する）d by the 研究員s and held with their wings covered for a minute.?

During this time the chickens were carefully 記録，記録的な／記録するd, 集会 18,000 different pictures of their 直面するs.

Using a computer programme designed by the 研究員s, they were able to 観察する that the chickens got a lot more red-直面するd during periods of agitation.?

Ms Soulet says: 'In our 熟考する／考慮する we 設立する that 女／おっせかい屋s blush in 肯定的な 状況／情勢s of high arousal associated with reward and 楽しみ.

'But the highest blushing was 観察するd in 消極的な 状況／情勢s of high arousal, for example, when we caught the 女／おっせかい屋s.'

A group of 13 chickens were slowly acclimatised to humans over time while another 13 were left on their own.

The 研究員s say this could be a 実験（する） for the strength of the 関係 between? humans and chickens, and show when chickens are more comfortable around people.?

Ms Soulet explains: 'Defining the emotional 範囲s in humans is already a challenge with no real 合意 so far.

'Even defining whether two human 存在s 株 類似の emotional 範囲s is tricky and under cultural 影響（力）.'

It is believed that all vertebrates 含むing birds have the same six basic emotions:?恐れる, joy, 怒り／怒る, disgust, sadness and surprise.?

Previous 研究 has also 示唆するd that chickens may feel something like empathy, 特に in 女／おっせかい屋s whose chicks are 存在 乱すd.?

Chickens also 陳列する，発揮する a wide 範囲 of emotions in their clucks, which can easily be discerned by humans.??

Yet Ms Soulet says this does not やむを得ず mean that chickens feel emotions in the same way we do.

'We would rather say that they are able to, for example, feel 恐れる-like or 怒り／怒る-like emotions,' Ms Soulet says.?
