No make-up-make-up is 支援する: Just when you thought it was 安全な to go 支援する into the colour palette, Rosie Green has some nude news

Many of you will be 狼狽d to learn that the no-make-up-make-up look is 支援する. In my １０年間s-long career as a beauty editor, it’s resurfaced more times than pedal 麻薬売人s (which, incidentally, are on 傾向, too, god help us).

You’ll remember the look from the 早期に 1990s. The reality, 支援する then, was that 負担s of 非難する was 伴う／関わるd, but we told ourselves this didn’t count as it was おもに taupe.

Then there was the actual no-make-up look that （機の）カム a couple of years later. The poster girl here was Obsession-perfume-時代 Kate Moss. Sadly, for the 残り／休憩（する） of us, only the supermodel herself could pull it off.

After that there was the social-マスコミ iteration, with 肌 indeed 製品-解放する／自由な, but also airbrushed by filters to the point where everyone looked like a waxwork.

Now there is the 2024 見解／翻訳／版, as seen on the Chlo? catwalk earlier this month. But 持つ／拘留する your scepticism because, you know what? It seemed doable. A contrast to all the marker-pen eyebrows, 行方不明になる Piggy 攻撃するs and creosote-hued 偽の tan that have proliferated recently, this felt fresh; pared 支援する but pretty.

And it wasn’t just prepubescent models wearing it ? there were some 40-somethings, too. To prep the models for the look, they were 扱う／治療するd to a 小型の facial by Orveda (a brand whose 製品s are known for depuffing and 上げるing radiance). 肌 was evened out with just a little concealer, then a pretty nude blush 追加するd. Brows were lightly defined. Ditt o 攻撃するs. A subtly coloured lip balm was 適用するd.

But don’t be fooled into thinking that subtle equals low 維持／整備. This look 作品 best with 色合いd brows and 攻撃するs, and 肌 that’s hydrated and glowing.

Remember, too, that when it comes to 明らかにする／漏らすing ‘欠陥s’, some are 許容できる (dark 影をつくる／尾行するs, for instance, can be ‘poetic’) and some are not (a big pimple). You’ll need to cover the latter.

Because let’s 直面する it, there’s ‘real’ and then there’s real.
