THE CHIC LIST: Why I don’t get the new rugby shirt 傾向 - or those who wear gym gear all day but never go to the gym

On the 直面する of it, the 傾向 に向かって sportswear as daywear should be 平易な-peasy to follow ? who hasn’t got their favourite tracksuit 底（に届く）s, after all? If I’m feeling 特に laissez-faire on a Saturday morning I can 激しく揺する a hoodie inside a blazer, or 追加する a pair of green- or brown-（土地などの）細長い一片d Adidas Gazelle trainers (I’m やめる a fan of these, not Sambas.

I wear tailored trousers with a 味方する （土地などの）細長い一片 ? they look ever so chic with a crisp white shirt. I have even stepped out of my 慰安 zone in white stiff-cotton tracksuit 底（に届く）s, paired with a 黒人／ボイコット blazer, after seeing the look at London Fashion Week.

Soon, though, I’d changed 支援する into some real trousers. Why? I felt a bit 半端物 ? not やめる myself ? and thought that it was all a little underwhelming. I 普通は wear this 肉親，親類d of gear for 家事, 絵 or 演習ing.

All too often I 辞退する to take the mental leap and 受託する sporty as serious 着せる／賦与するing. (Which would be a 災害 if I lived in the US, where leggings and a hoodie are the daily uniform of choice, accessorised with a takeaway coffee or fresh juice.) Because I just can’t understand the person who chooses to wear gym gear all day but never goes to the actual gym.

This season, the sports-luxe 傾向 has taken an even more 悪意のある style 新たな展開: the rugby shirt has been 布告するd the It-最高の，を越す. Some fashionistas 推定する／予想する it to take over from the everyday breton 最高の，を越す. Now that’s 押し進めるing it for me. However, as a fashion 新聞記者／雑誌記者, one needs to do 研究 before casting aspersions. 

So I took myself off to see green- and blue-（土地などの）細長い一片d 見解／翻訳／版s 存在 styled by beautiful young catwalk models and… I thought they looked pretty awful on them. Therefore a 40-加える woman is just going to look ridiculous. No 事柄 what I style it with, a rugby shirt 簡単に isn’t going to make me look 冷静な／正味の ? more like a superfan wearing her team colours to work.

But, joyfully, there are a few other 傾向s 価値（がある） engaging with this spring:

• The cropped jacket is having a moment ? 極端に versatile and brilliantly stylish with high-waisted skirts and trousers.
• When it comes to jackets and 捕らえる、獲得するs, suede is one of the hottest 構成要素s.
• 貨物 trousers (see page 5) are joined by 貨物 midi and maxi skirts. 選ぶ for one in a 激しい cotton for a more chic look.

下落する advice

To look perfectly spring-fresh, style this cropped 下落する-green jacket with a pair of high-waisted trousers and ballet flat.

Put a （犯罪の）一味 on it

There are plenty of dupes around but nothing （警官の）巡回区域，受持ち区域s the real 取引，協定 ?and this hugely popular 英貨の／純銀の-silver 減少（する） （犯罪の）一味 from Bottega Veneta is perfection.

Clich? or cachet?

Emily in Paris, wrapping up a fourth series, has had a comical 影響 on 観光旅行，事業 in the French 資本／首都, I noticed on a 最近の trip. I lost count of how many fans of the show I sa w 冒険的な red berets ? la Lily Collins (left) and sipping un caf?. That said, the Parisians did not look amused!
