'If you don't like it you're THICK!': 建設業者 bites 支援する after furious 隣人s say '絶対 hideous' steel box 拡張 to £1m home looks like an 'awful shipping コンテナ'

A 建設業者 behind a 議論の的になる steel box 拡張 has 爆破d '厚い' 隣人s after they compared it to an 'awful shipping コンテナ'.

地元のs are furious about the grey cube upper structure 大（公）使館員d to a red-brick terrace on a 望ましい Victorian street in Loughborough, Leicestershire.

The 前線 houses a bedroom and bathroom while there is a matching 抱擁する steel 'factory' style kitchen 拡張 at the 後部 which 感情を害する／違反するs 地元のs living in a 静かな cul-de-sac behind. 

隣人s have called it '絶対 hideous' and say the work should never have been 認めるd planning 許可 in a 自然保護 area.

One woman told MailOnline: 'It looks out of place. And the worst thing is the new 前線 拡張, which I gather is a bedroom with ensuite bathroom, is overlooking a school playground and netball 法廷，裁判所.'

But 建設業者 Tony Norman who is renovating the house has ひどく defended the 所有物／資産／財産 and said he 'loves it'.

He ガス／煙d: 'Old people and 厚い people don't like it but most young people do.'

Mr Norman 追加するd : 'I have been here for the past 18 months and I'm renovating this end of terrace house as a family house.'

He said the 所有物／資産／財産 was bought three years ago by David Gattward, Director of Microkerft Ltd, a レーザー cutting, 演習ing and welding company.

It could be 価値（がある） around £1million when refurbished as a family home, he 追加するd.

The 建設業者 said of the 議論の的になる steel structure: 'I love it.'

But while Mr Norman is proud of his work - 隣人s are not impressed.

'I am staggered the owner got away with it and it is not fair on the 隣人s, the school children and staff.'

Marjorie Hughes, who lives to the 後部 and overlooks the 広大な metal コンテナ-style kitchen 拡張, groaned: 'Everybody who lives here is disgusted by it, 前線 and 支援する.

'It is horrible and I cannot understand why it was 許すd. No one is living in the house as it's under 完全にする 革新 and it's been going on and on for years.'

She complained: 'There's been muck and 破片 at the 場所／位置 and beyond and the 建設業者s even used our 私的な car park for their 乗り物s which they had no 権利 to so.

'On Christmas I got a nail stuck in my foot while I was walking by. It was from their mess and I was ガス／煙ing.'

Her nearby 隣人 Denise Shapcott 追加するd: 'It is an 絶対の monstrosity and I feel sorry for all the residen ts living in the flats next door as their homes have been turned into blackness.'

Many 地元のs have slammed Charnwood Borough 会議 for 許すing the 'eyesore' and 'out of character' 拡張.

One woman, who 拒絶する／低下するd to be 指名するd, said: 'In 2021 a planning 使用／適用 for a Victorian style dormer 拒絶するd as it wasn't in keeping with the 自然保護 area. The next thing this awful shipping コンテナ 拡張 just appeared in place.

'It's a 抱擁する unsightly steel box like structure more in keeping with a 輸送（する） コンテナ and not to live in.

'It's an eyesore, ugly and 不快な／攻撃, and out of character in such a lovely area.'

Saddened 告訴する Charman, who lives in a ground 床に打ち倒す flat next door, moaned: 'It makes our home so dark and 全く 封鎖するs out the light in our 前線 bedroom and lounge.

'I don't like it, it is horrible but we're stuck with it.'

The grandma, 82, who has lived in her rented 主要都市の 住宅 at Hodson 法廷，裁判所 for five years with husband Albert, 86, said: 'When we moved in it was just a garage but now it has a large box-like building over it in metal.'

Mrs Charman, 招待するing MailOnline into her cosy but darkened flat, said: 'We had two years of scaffolding which was even worse.

'We're not happy with the the 拡張 and don't know how they go planning 許可. We didn't complain because we only rent and what can we do

'It's not in keeping with a 自然保護 area and it's a carbuncle. It 封鎖するs light from the people living in the apartments next door.

'It was put up three years ago and nobody likes it, everyone damns it. Most people walk past and think 'What the devil is that?'

'I heard the owner had fallen out with t he 初めの 建設業者s but has since got new ones and the work is 現在進行中の.'

One 地元の, echoing the 感情s of others, said: 'It is not attractive, it is not in keeping and looks out of place.

'How do you 立法者 - things of historical importance are 存在 pulled 負かす／撃墜する and monstrosities like this are 存在 put up. It's crazy.'

居住（者） Julia Parkins told how the once beautiful building was her dream '宝くじ house.'

The retired sales officer, said: 'I'd often walk 負かす／撃墜する the street and when it was up for sale I'd think 'If we won the lotto we'd buy that.

'But the owner has 廃虚d it - it looks so out of character. They've been working on it incredibly slowly.'

Carol Alexander, who lives in the street behind, said: 'It's certainly 独特の and stands out like a sore thumb but I like it.

'While it sticks out and is not in keeping with the neighbourhood it is something different. People should be 解放する／自由な to do what they want and 表明する themselves in doing up their homes.'

Loughborough Amherst School with a large 調印する at the 前線 明言する／公表するing: 'Welcoming boys and girls 4-18 years, 直面するs the 'talking point' 拡張 from the 味方する.

A 女性（の） member of staff, who didn't want to be drawn into the planning 列／漕ぐ／騒動 and 拒絶する／低下するd to be 指名するd, said: 'All I will say is that when it went up I didn't feel it was in keeping.'
