Camilla's speech in 十分な?

My fellow Lancers,

As I approached Catterick this morning for my first visit as your very proud

陸軍大佐-in-長,指導者, I couldn't help but 解任する my father's description of his 初期の impressions of the 12thLancers, when he joined the 連隊 支援する in 1937.?

In his?memoir, Previous 約束/交戦s, he wrote:

'Everyone was very welcoming and the atmosphere was relaxed…I was taken under the wing of the Adjutant, as nice a man as ever lived and a 静かに efficient 兵士.

'I was profoundly indebted to him as he not only pulled me out of さまざまな?捨てるs, without やむを得ず 知らせるing the 陸軍大佐, but also judiciously 手渡すd me over to 確かな 上級の NCOs, who took my education in 手渡す and tactfu lly but 堅固に directed my floundering steps.?

'They were very competent nannies with a?decidedly un-nannylike capacity for beer'.

Today, 87 years later, I am delighted to see that the atmosphere amongst the Lancers remains welcoming and relaxed and that you still have a very nice, 静かに efficient Adjutant… although I shan't ask about the NCOs capacity for beer!

I know you have been 特に busy, as you 準備する for 切迫した 操作の 小旅行するs to Poland, Kosovo, and Cyprus, and I am glad that today serves as an 適切な時期 to bring you all together.?

My father 述べるd the 連隊 as a '高度に efficient (独立の)存在, 高度に 技術d, and 十分な of personalities', I have no 疑問 that your 近づいている (軍隊などの)展開,配備s will be characteristically successful and will only 追加する to our 連隊's rich history.

The Lancers have always struck me for their family spirit, whose 慰安 and support I experienced as a daughter of the 連隊, and I'm delighted to see so many families and members of the Old Comrades 協会 here today. 特に now, as so many of your loved ones look to (軍隊を)展開する,配備する overseas.

During the British Expeditionary 軍隊's 撤退 to Dunkirk, 戦う/戦いing against insidious tiredness, poor mapping, and an ever-前進するing enemy 軍隊, my father 反映するd:

'My 軍隊/機動隊 were wonderful' and 'I know as a 軍隊/機動隊 Leader how much I 借りがある to these…兵士s'

As you look に向かって a (軍隊などの)展開,配備 of challenge and 複雑さ, I know this 猛烈な/残忍な Lancers camaraderie will be replicated as you 努力する/競う to make our world a safer place.

I wish you all Godspeed over the coming months, the greatest of good fortune and a very 安全な return.
