Gardening season is upon us and as we 始める，決める up our 事業／計画（する）s for the year ahead we will be reminded of some familiar 敵s: slugs and snails.

These pests can 廃虚ing your garden, but there are several things you can do to 阻止する them from your 聖域.

DIY fermented yeast drink 罠（にかける）?

Mr Stooks said making your own fermented yeast drink 罠（にかける）s and placing them in the garden will work for both pests - but will 要求する topping up and refreshing 定期的に.?

The 罠（にかける）s, which can be made by 注ぐing a fermented yeast drink into a small dish, jar or bowl, attract slugs and snails with their odour.

'With snails and slugs, it is pretty much the same,' he told Betway, 'you can catch both with fermented yeast drink 罠（にかける）s, which you can buy ready-made online or make your own.?

'They can be expensive but I would 示唆する making your own with jam jars. What you do is dig it 負かす／撃墜する into the ground so the 最高の，を越す is level with the 国／地域. Into that, you put in a ４半期/4分の1 of the jam jar, and fill up with the fermented drink.'

You can make your own 'drink' by mixing water with a small 量 of sugar and 乾燥した，日照りのd yeast.?

Ms Stooks continued: 'The slugs will be attracted to the yeasty odours, which will make them travel 負かす／撃墜する the jar, which can be covered わずかに using a 激しく揺する. Often you'll find a few the next day or leave it for a few days, before emptying them out into the compost and redoing it with fresh drink.

'However, this won't work with snails. If you are trying to catch snails you are going to need a bigger glass jar, as you need a bigger 開始.?

'The only problem with leaving a bigger 開始 is that once it rains, it washes 負かす／撃墜する the drink, so 最高の，を越す up and change the drink 定期的に if you are trying to catch them both.'
