UNC student seen 保護物，者ing the US 旗 from anti-イスラエル 暴徒 speaks out

One of the University of North Carolina fraternity brothers who was seen guarding the US 旗 from プロの／賛成の-パレスチナ 抗議する人s says he would've 保護するd it with his life. A few dozen members of the Pi Kappa Phi fraternity took it upon themselves to 保護物，者 the 旗 on Tuesday at UNC Chapel Hill where 抗議する人s at one point 取って代わるd it with the Palestinian 旗. Dan Stompel, a political science student at the school, told Fox News he and other fraternity brothers held the 旗 up for over an hour until police arrived to （疑いを）晴らす the hundreds of 抗議する人s.

The junior said: 'I was like, "I’d die for this 旗." And everybody was like, "Yeah." If they got any closer we're going to start throwing 手渡すs. We're not going anywhere, I don't care. They're going to have to 涙／ほころび me off this 旗 over my dead 団体／死体.' Stompel （人命などを）奪う，主張するd that as he 保護物，者d the 旗, 抗議する人s tried to 脅迫してさせる them and began throwing 反対するs at them. 'We're looking at every direction. If stuff was 飛行機で行くing in, we would say, "長，率いるs up.’" We would cover each other. We would look out for other people… 'And it did 傷つける our 武器. It was like an ‘arm day’ [workout] for me that day. There was no gym happening that day afterwards. It was [a] exhausting. It was beautiful moment.'

The student 追加するd: 'It shows that, …based on the people there, nice, normal, strong boys 保護するing America's 旗. There's nothing more 愛国的な, nothing more 本物の, nothing more 奮起させるing than that.' 'These boys... no, men, of the UNC Chapel Hill Pi Kappa Phi, gave the best to America and now they deserve the best,' the GoFundMe reads. 'Help us raise 基金s to throw this frat the party they deserve, a party 価値（がある） of the boat-shoed Broleteriat who did their co untry proud.'

Guillermo Estrada, another of the young men seen 保護物，者ing the 旗, said the day had been 'sad yet 権力を与えるing,' and that he had become upset after seeing the Palestinian 旗 raised on campus. He wrote: 'I cannot say I am fully educated on the イスラエル/パレスチナ 衝突 but it upset me that my country's 旗 was disrespected ーするために 支持する for another. 'My fraternity brother and others ran over to 持つ／拘留する it up, in order for it not to touch the ground. People began throwing water 瓶／封じ込めるs at us, 激しく揺するs, sticks, calling us profane 指名するs. We stood for an hour defending the 旗 so many fight to 保護する. 'My parents started a new life in the 部隊d 明言する／公表するs, a country that has helped them 繁栄する and raise two kids. I grew up in a 軍の community and saw first 手渡す the sacrifices they make. I will not stand for the disrespect these "protestors" 原因（となる） for the sake of another country. 'My LDOC will be memorable in knowing that my fraternity brothers and others fought to keep the 旗 up. But it was also memorable in knowing that so many yearn to disrespect it.

Ano ther frat member, Alex Jones, said on X: 'For me, 保護するing the 旗 was not about taking a 姿勢 within the 現在進行中の イスラエル-パレスチナ discourse.?'I 認める the 苦痛 and 苦しむing experienced by both 味方するs of that 衝突. But my 決定／判定勝ち（する） yesterday to 保護する the 旗 of the 部隊d 明言する／公表するs was not about any other nation. It was 簡単に about the importance of our country and the values we believe in. 'I believe in the 権利 to 解放する／自由な speech and 平和的な 抗議する. I am 栄誉（を受ける）d to give 支援する to the nation that has given me and my family countless 適切な時期s. 'I 借りがある everything to the hard work of my parents and this 広大な／多数の／重要な nation, and I am proud to be の中で those who stood up for it yesterday. I am proud to be an American.'
