投票者 登録 data crunched by MailOnline shows the number of people 登録(する)ing to 投票(する) on 最終期限 day swelled compared to previous 地元の 選挙s in 2023, 2022, 2021 and 2019.

Young 投票者s made up the 大多数 of those putting themselves on the 選挙(人)の 登録(する).?

The Give an X (選挙などの)運動をする, 支援するd by celebrities 含むing Sheen, Bragg, Dimoldenberg and others such as actor Brian Cox, writer Armando Iannucci and comedian Meera Syal, had 勧めるd younger 投票(する) rs to make their 投票(する) count.

'We join 手渡すs with the young people 主要な the Give an X (選挙などの)運動をする in 強調ing the importance of young people 形態/調整ing the 未来, and we 勧める each and every 国民 to (人命などを)奪う,主張する their seat at the (米)棚上げする/(英)提議する,' the open letter read.

But 専門家s have also 勧めるd 警告を与える over the 人物/姿/数字s - 示唆するing they may not 代表する a growth in young 投票者s on the 登録(する) at all.

Professor Sir John Curtice,?professor of politics at the University of Strathclyde, said 類似の 殺到するs happen 'in the run up before every 選挙'.

He 追加するd: 'A lot of the people who 登録(する) at this point are already on the 登録(する) but do not realise it.'

Professor Edward Fieldhouse, professor of social and political science at the University of Manchester, says many young people 登録(する)ing may not be dropping off the 登録(する) at all but moving around to, for example, student 演説(する)/住所s.

The British 選挙 熟考する/考慮する, an 現在進行中の examination of 投票者 behaviour in Britain, 設立する in 2021 younger 投票者s 老年の 35 and under were more likely than other age groups to 減少(する) off the 登録(する) after individual 選挙(人)の 登録 was introduced.

This change, rolled out a 10年間 ago, meant individuals became 責任がある their own 選挙(人)の 登録 rather than 投票者s 登録(する)ing as a 選び出す/独身 世帯.

And of those that dropped off, young 投票者s were least likely to re-入会させる to 投票(する).

Pr of Fieldhouse told MailOnline: 'Since the introduction of individual 登録, using British 選挙 熟考する/考慮する data we find that a large number of people 減少(する) off the 登録(する) but 再結合させる at 選挙 time if they want to 投票(する).?

'The people who join the 登録(する) have 類似の demographic 特徴 to people who 減少(する) off the 登録(する) and いっそう少なく likely to be 登録(する)d in the first place.?

'In other words, there is a 'churn' 影響 amongst younger electors who are more likely to change 演説(する)/住所. This is what we are most likely seeing in the 最新の 殺到する of 登録, not 証拠 of a 逆転 of 設立するd patterns.'

He 追加するd, however, that those who are 登録(する)ing to 投票(する) last minute are likely doing so with the 意向 of turning out to 投票(する) on 投票ing day.

And YouGov 調査するs 行為/行うd this time last week 示唆するs those under 49 are more likely to 投票(する) for 労働 in a 総選挙 than the Tories.

Those 投票(する)ing patterns could be 反映するd when Brits go to the 投票s next month, with some 予測s that the 保守的なs will lose half of their seats - though 地元の 選挙 人出/投票者数 is 歴史的に much lower than that for a 総選挙.?

Prof Fieldhouse 追加するd: 'Young people are more likely to 投票(する) 労働 - that still 持つ/拘留するs, though maybe that's tailing off a little bit because of 関心 about Gaza and a 欠如(する) of 過激な 政策s under Starmer. But 一般に these patterns are still 持つ/拘留するing.'

令状ing in the 地元の 政府 Chronicle in March, 分析家s Michael Thrasher and Colin Rallings said 保守的な losses were '必然的な' - but that 労働 may not 伸び(る) as many seats as the Tories lose.

They 追加するd: 'If the 保守的なs repeat their poor 業績/成果 of 2023, when the 国家の 同等(の) 投票(する) put them below 30%, they stand to lose up to 500 seats ? half their 議員s 直面するing 選挙.
