宗教的な groups were divided today over a High 法廷,裁判所 判決,裁定 解任するing a イスラム教徒 student's challenge against a 禁止(する) on 祈り rituals at her school in London.
Michaela Community School in Brent 直面するd 合法的な 活動/戦闘 from a pupil who (人命などを)奪う,主張するd its 政策 was 差別的な and unlawfully 違反d her 権利 to 宗教的な freedom.

It comes after headteacher Katharine Birbalsingh - dubbed 'Britain's strictest' - said: 'If parents do not like what Michaela is, they do not need to send their children to us.'

Mr Genders said: 'This 事例/患者 does not appear to be about banning 祈り in schools but relates to day-to-day 決定/判定勝ち(する)s of a particular school in its own circumstances.
'We agree that 長,率いるs and 治める/統治するing 団体/死体s of individual schools are best placed to 演説(する)/住所 these 問題/発行するs 地元で and would 支持する their 権利 to do so.
'We do not believe this judgment challenges the 原則 of Freedom of 宗教 or Belief, or indeed 集団の/共同の Worship in schools, which we 堅固に support.'
地元のs in the Wembley Park area were divided by the 判決,裁定 today, with some telling MailOnline it was the school's '権利', while others said 'people should be able to live by their background'.
Henangi Deru, 29, said: 'I think it is the school's 権利 to say no. I mean if you don't have the 支配するs in place it quickly becomes out of 手渡す, so you have to have those 制限s.
'When you 調印する up to the school you have 条件 and 条件s as part of that anyways. It is the school's choice in what they want to do.
'You have your 権利s (宗教的な 権利s) but that should be out of the school. If you go into any place of 商売/仕事 or 雇用 you have 支配するs you have to follow even if you don't like it. And I think when you are school that does not change.'
And another man, who asked to remain 匿名の/不明の, 支援するd the 決定/判定勝ち(する), said:?'It is hard because it's a 罰金 line. But if the High 法廷,裁判所 has made a 決定/判定勝ち(する) there is not a lot they can do about it. I bet the parents are up in 武器.
'If our 法律s have gone for it I don't see any 推論する/理由 for it to change - that's my opinion, I am not a イスラム教徒.
'In my opinion I think it's a step 今後.'
But Shane Chen, 27, said: 'It is not the 権利 thing to do and more people should 支払う/賃金 attention to [what's happening] with the school and the students.
'I think the 政府 needs to take some 活動/戦闘 and get inv olved.'
There are 4,630 CofE schools across the country which are …に出席するd by around one million children. About 15 million people alive today went to a CofE school.

賞賛するing Ms Birbalsingh and the school's 治める/統治するing 団体/死体 for 'standing up', he told GB News of the 判決,裁定: 'This is 絶対 権利. For goodness sake. We have school choice in this country. You can 適用する for whatever school you like. You don't join a school and then try to change the 支配するs.
'If she doesn't like it, take the child out. I can't tell you how many times I've talked to parents about not this sort of thing, but other things. If you don't like what's going on here, take them somewhere else.'
一方/合間 Stephen Evans, 長,指導者 (n)役員/(a)執行力のある of the 国家の 世俗的な Society, said: 'Given the disruption experienced by the school, a 判決,裁定 that the 禁止(する) on 祈り rituals was lawful is welcome.
'It also serves as a useful 思い出の品 that (人命などを)奪う,主張するs of 宗教的な freedom do not trump all other considerations. If a school wishes to 支持する a 世俗的な ethos, it should be する権利を与えるd to do so.
'Schools should be 環境s where everyone feels welcomed and valued, but that doesn't mean students have untrammelled 宗教的な freedom.?
'Where the manifestation of 宗教 is みなすd 意見の不一致を生じる or 破壊的な, a balance must be struck. We're pleased the school's 活動/戦闘s have been vindicated.'
Speaking to MailOnline in Wembley Park,?Andree Cerrato, 27, agreed, 説: 'I think they must be able to keep doing what they were doing before.'?
In contrast, Anthony Wilkins, 55, said: ‘I am not sure how I feel about it to be honest. I think people should be able to live by their background and where they're from no 事柄 where they live.
'My parents (機の)カム here from Jamaica and we don't have any sort of particular needs, but I know some people who come here have 確かな traditions that I do think they should be able to 持つ/拘留する の上に.
'If it's part of their life and their culture I think they should be able to [pray].
'And if they went to another school they might be told the same thing so something should change in my opinion anyways.'
イスラム教徒 約束 leader Imam Ajmal Masroor, who is based in London, said he would 勧める the student's family to 控訴,上告 against the judgment 'so that we can get a more nuanced 判決,裁定 on this'.

Meherun Hamid, from the 協会 of イスラム教徒 Schools, told ITV's Good Morning Britain today: 'It wasn't really impinging on anybody else's 権利s. She was just 演習ing her belief'
Nadeine Asbali, a London 第2位 school teacher who wrote the 調書をとる/予約する '隠すd 脅し: On 存在 Visibly イスラム教徒 in Britain', said: 'I've taught in schools where I was the only イスラム教徒 and in schools that are almost 100 per cent イスラム教徒, and 祈り has never been an 問題/発行する'
Dr Abdul-Azim Ahmed, who is 長官 general of the イスラム教徒 会議 of むちの跡s, said he was 'really disappointed that the 法廷,裁判所 hasn't defended a very 井戸/弁護士席-設立するd British 原則'
London-based 約束 leader Imam Ajmal Masroor said he would 勧める the student's family to 控訴,上告 against the High 法廷,裁判所 judgment 'so that we can get a more nuanced 判決,裁定 on this'
He said: 'If a child is in 第2位 school and 行方不明になるs their 中央の-afternoon 祈り for five years, that's not an exception. That's been 課すd as a 支配する.'
Imam Masroor said there had been a '根底となる 誤解' of what it means to be a イスラム教徒, 追加するing: 'As a イスラム教徒 I have to pray my five daily 祈りs, there is no 妥協. It is my 身元.'
The imam branded comments by equalities 大臣 Kemi Badenoch that the 判決,裁定 is 'a victory against 行動主義者s trying to subvert our public 会・原則s' as '意見の不一致を生じる'.
Calling into question what he perceived as different approaches when it comes to Christianity, he said: 'If we are going to be creating a 世俗的な space in a school, should we 取り消す 復活祭 break? Because that's 奮起させるd by Christianity. Should we 取り消す Christmas break? Because that's 奮起させるd by Christianity.
'Should we 取り消す singing the 国家の 国家 which says God Save the King? The について言及する of God is at the 最前部 of this very 国家.
'Where do we draw the line? Or is it that it's only for Islam and the イスラム教徒s that Badenoch and others suddenly 叫び声をあげる foul but stay silent when it's Christianity? It's a 二塁打 基準 and hypocrisy, I'm afraid.'
However, after Imam Masroor spoke out, Ms Badenoch (刑事)被告 critics of Michaela Community School of attacking it because it is 'the 旗艦 school for the 保守的な 政府's 解放する/自由な school programme'.
In a phone-in with LBC 無線で通信する, she welcomed the 判決,裁定 and said: 'I 設立する this particular 出来事/事件 やめる fishy 権利 from the get go. And it was cle ar that a lot of the 声明s that the young person had written had not been written by her but by professionals.
'The Michaela school is 絶えず attacked, 絶えず got at and I think it's because it is the 旗艦 school for the 保守的な 政府's 解放する/自由な school programme.'
But Dr Abdul-Azim Ahmed, who is 長官 general of the イスラム教徒 会議 of むちの跡s, said he was 'really disappointed that the 法廷,裁判所 hasn't defended a very 井戸/弁護士席-設立するd British 原則 of freedom of 宗教'.
He 追加するd: 'It's not looking for preferential 治療, it's looking for fairness in schools. It's looking for the basic 宗教的な freedoms which have long been a part of the British public sphere.'
Commenting on Ms Badenoch's 声明, he said: 'I think unfortunately the 大臣's comments are sensationalising this 事例/患者 and playing into a culture war and a rhetoric which doesn't 反映する the reality of what's happening on the ground.'
Also today, Meherun Hamid, from the 協会 of イスラム教徒 Schools, told ITV's Good Morning Britain: 'Whether it's a school or a work, nobody's asking that you need to stop your work or stop your class to do it.
'You can do it during the lunchtime. This student decided that they were going to do it during their lunchtime. It wasn't really impinging on anybody else's 権利s. She was just 演習ing her belief.'

In a 声明 on its website, the organisation said: 'The High 法廷,裁判所 判決 is an 絶対の travesty of 司法(官) and all who care about 保存するing the 寛容 and 多様制 of our multicultural nation should 非難する this 結果.
'The 判決,裁定 始める,決めるs a dangerous precedent and could 危険 encouraging a wave of 禁止(する)s on 宗教的な expressionism in schools, and perhaps even beyond into other areas of the public 部門.'
Mend said it was therefore calling on the school to 再考する its 祈り 禁止(する) 'in light of the inalienable human 権利 of all to manifest their beliefs without 恐れる of 差別, 含むing イスラム教徒s'.
Ms Birbalsingh, the high-達成するing school's 創立者 and headteacher, said yesterday that the 判決,裁定 was a 'victory for all schools'.
But this 見解(をとる) was not 株d by Nadeine Asbali, a London 第2位 school teacher whose 調書をとる/予約する '隠すd 脅し: On 存在 Visibly イスラム教徒 in Britain' was 解放(する)d in January.
She wrote in the 後見人: 'I've taught in schools where I was the only イスラム教徒 and in schools that are almost 100 per cent イスラム教徒, and 祈り has never been an 問題/発行する.
'While Birbalsingh 述べるs an atmosphere of 恐れる and 脅迫 in which students became divided along the lines of 約束, I've only ever seen the opposite: intricate questions about theology coming from the panini-stuffed mouths of 12-year-olds; kids pausing a football game while their mate quickly prays; young people learning how to get along with people different from themselves.
'The 代案/選択肢 is growing up in a system where that difference is banned, hidden away.'
Tom Rogers, a history teacher and 創立者 of Teachers Talk 無線で通信する, told The Times that a 引用する from Ms Birbalsingh summarised the struggle of headteachers when 直面するd with 'social マスコミ fuelled angst, 怒り/怒る and (民事の)告訴 directed against teachers and schools.'
It comes after Ms Birbalsingh said in a 声明 yesterday: 'A school should be 解放する/自由な to do what is 権利 for the pupils it serves. The 法廷,裁判所's 決定/判定勝ち(する) is therefore a victory for all schools.
'Schools should not be 軍隊d by one child and her mother to change its approach 簡単に because they have decided they don't like something at the school.'
She said the school of some 700 pupils, about half of whom are イスラム教徒, embraces '伝統的な values' where 'children are happy and are friends with each other across racial and 宗教的な divides'.
Ms Birbalsingh said people are 知らせるd about its strict 支配するs before pupils join, 追加するing: 'If parents do not like what Michaela is, they do not need to send their children to us.'

The student, who cannot be 指名するd, said after the 判決,裁定 that her school was 'very 井戸/弁護士席 run', had good teachers and that 存在 伴う/関わるd in the 事例/患者 'has not been 平易な for me'.
'Even though I lost, I still feel that I did the 権利 thing in 捜し出すing to challenge the 禁止(する). I tried my best and was true to myself and my 宗教,' she said.
Her mother, who supported the challenge, said: 'The 事例/患者 was rooted in the understanding that 祈り isn't just a 望ましい 行為/法令/行動する for us - it's an 必須の element that 形態/調整s our lives as イスラム教徒s.
'In our 約束, 祈り 持つ/拘留するs 否定できない importance, guiding us through each challenge with strength and 約束.'
She continued: 'My daughter's 情熱的な 姿勢 compelled me to support her and I stand 会社/堅い in that 決定/判定勝ち(する).
'Her courage in 追求するing this 事柄 fills me with pride and I'm 確信して she's 伸び(る)d invaluable lessons from the experience.'
At a 審理,公聴会 in January, the 法廷,裁判所 was told that Ms Birbalsingh, a former 政府 social mobility tsar, introduced the 政策 in March last year, with it 存在 支援するd by the 治める/統治するing 団体/死体 in May.
In March 2023, up to 30 students began praying in the school's yard, using blazers to ひさまづく on.
Lawyers for the school said students seen praying outside 与える/捧げるd to a '一致した (選挙などの)運動をする' on social マスコミ over the school's approach to 宗教, with there also 存在 a since-除去するd online 嘆願(書) attracting thousands of 署名s.
The 法廷,裁判所 heard the school was 的d with death 脅しs, 乱用, '誤った' 主張s of Islamophobia and a '爆弾 hoax'.
The student's lawyers argued the 禁止(する) on 祈り rituals on the 前提s 'uniquely' 影響する/感情d her 約束 予定 to its ritualised nature .
The pupil 申し立てられた/疑わしい the school's 姿勢 on 祈り - one of the five 中心存在s of Islam - was 'the 肉親,親類d of 差別 which makes 宗教的な 少数,小数派s feel 疎遠にするd from society'.
Her 合法的な team said she was making a 'modest' request to be 許すd to pray for around five minutes at lunch time, on dates when 約束 支配するs 要求するd it, but not during lessons.
The school argued its 政策 was 正当化するd as it 危険d '土台を崩すing 傾向 and social cohesion' between pupils, would again expose it to 'an 容認できない 危険 of 脅しs' and that it 避けるd 'logistical disruption'.
Mr 司法(官) Linden 結論するd there was 'a 合理的な/理性的な 関係 between the 目的(とする) of 促進するing the team ethos of the school, inclusivity, social cohesion etc and the 祈り ritual 政策'.
He said: 'The disadvantage to イスラム教徒 pupils at the school 原因(となる)d by the 祈り ritual 政策 is in my 見解(をとる) outweighed by the 目的(とする)s which it 捜し出すs to 促進する in the 利益/興味s of the school community as a whole, 含むing イスラム教徒 pupils.'
He said the student had 'at the very least impliedly 受託するd' that she would be '支配する to 制限s on her ability to manifest her 宗教' when joining the 世俗的な school.
The 裁判官 said the pupil could also 成し遂げる 'Qada' 祈りs - permitted by Islam to '(不足などを)補う' for 行方不明の 祈りs earlier in the day - 'to mitigate the 失敗 to pray within the allotted window'.
He 受託するd the 祈り 政策 原因(となる)d the pupil a 'detriment' but 結論するd it was 'a proportionate means of 達成するing a 合法的 目的(とする)', 追加するing that the school was 正当化するd in deciding that there were practical difficulties in 許すing indoor イスラム教徒 祈り during the school day.
Mr 司法(官) Linden said of the student: 'I do not 疑問 that she has strong feelings, but she s ays that they are based on the whole of the events which have led to this (人命などを)奪う,主張する ... and on her 見解(をとる)s that she has been 扱う/治療するd 異なって because she is a イスラム教徒, that she is the 犠牲者 of 差別, and that she has 効果的に been told that she does not '適切に belong here', 非,不,無 of which is in fact the 事例/患者.'
証拠 showed that since the 祈り rituals 禁止(する) was introduced 'good relations within the school community have been 回復するd', the 裁判官 said.
He upheld the student's challenge to a 決定/判定勝ち(する) to 一時的に 除外する her from the school as a 違反 of its 義務 'to 行為/法令/行動する 公正に/かなり'.
Former home 長官 Suella Braverman, who co-設立するd the Michaela Community School, said she was 'delighted' by the judgment.

'This is a victory for the children and their parents who want them to live happy and 実行するd lives.'
Also in the wake of the 判決,裁定, Humanists UK called on the 政府 to develop 国家の 指導/手引 on 宗教的な practices in schools to 演説(する)/住所 building '憤慨' in the system.
The charity's 長,指導者 (n)役員/(a)執行力のある, Andrew Copson, said: 'In the absence of 国家の 指導/手引 on 宗教的な practices in schools and of a serious 国家の discussion about 存在するing 法律s, 事例/患者s like this will continue to be brought. Schools shouldn't be left alone to を取り引きする this.
'Today's High 法廷,裁判所 judgment 要求するs serious thinking from the 政府 about how to 保護する the child's freedom of 宗教 or belief while also making sure our education system is fair and inclusive to all.'
