'Controlling' husband who stabbed his 19-year-old wife to death in a fit of jealous 激怒（する） then calmly 自白するd to a 999 操作者 just months after moving to the UK from India is 刑務所，拘置所d for life
A 'coercive and controlling' husband who 殺人d his 19-year-old wife just months after he moved from India to the UK has been 刑務所，拘置所d for life.
Sahil Sharma, 24, stabbed Mehak Sharma 繰り返して in the neck in their home in Croydon, south London before dialling 999 and calmly telling the 操作者: 'I have killed my wife'.
During the call, he 誤って （人命などを）奪う，主張するd that Mehak had been cheating on him and was therefore 'responsible' for her own death.
Just hours before, Sharma had texted Mehak: 'Come home and see what I can do to you.'

Mehak called the police on three separate occasions before her death about her husbands abusive behaviour and told one 操作者: 'I do not need anything now, but if something wrong happens to me in the 未来, I need people to know that he was responsible'

Mehak, from a village in the Gurdaspur 地区 of Punjab, had moved to the UK on a student ビザ in November 2022. Her husband Sharma, who she had married in June 2022, joined her in June 2023.

検察官，検事 Julian Evans said: 'While he was still in India and Mehak was in the UK, Sahil would call her 繰り返して and 推定する／予想する she answer each time.
'She would be admonished by her 雇用者s for 存在 on the phone while also 存在 乱用d by her husband for not answering his calls.
'If Mehak was on the phone to her mother, Sahil would ask her to send screenshots to 証明する this.
'He became ますます 怪しげな of her and （刑事）被告 her of lying about her どの辺に.'

Mr Evans said things became physical when Sharma moved to the UK to join Mehak.
He explained: 'On one occasion, the 被告 新たな展開d her arm, sla pped her, and 粉砕するd her phone.
'In September 2023, Mehak called her mother, 高度に 苦しめるd, and told her Sahil had grabbed her neck - 原因（となる）ing her to "feel her veins".'
The 法廷，裁判所 heard that Sharma had 脅すd Mehak - telling her that if she 報告（する）／憶測d him to the police he would kill her mother and siblings.
But 報告（する）／憶測s show that Mehak still called 999 on three occasions.
'On September 12, 2023, she told the 操作者 the 被告 had been 拷問ing her,' Mr Evans said. 'She said this was mental not physical.
'On October 22, she called 999 again and repeated that he was 拷問ing her. She said he believed she was having an 事件／事情／状勢.
'On October 23, she said he was 拷問ing her and had slapped her.
'She told the 操作者: "I do not need anything now, but if something wrong happens to me in the 未来, I need people to know that he was responsible."
'In the background, the 被告 could be heard 説: "What wrong thing could I do to you?".'
In the months 主要な up to her 悲劇の death, Mehak also frequently called her mother, Madhu Bala, and said Sharma was '悩ますing' her.
Mr Evans said: 'On 29 October, there was 広範囲にわたる telephone 接触する between Mehak and her mother.
'Madhu said that, that day, her daughter was very 脅すd, very 苦しめるd. It was the first time she had really cried to her mother.
'Before, she had said she 恐れるd it was a mistake marrying Sahil but that she hoped things would get better.
'But now, she told her mother: "Sahil is not going to become a better person."
'She told her mother this was the worst day of her life because of th e taunting and いやがらせ she had received the night before.
'He said she was the problem and （刑事）被告 her of having an 事件／事情／状勢. There was no truth どれでも to these 疑惑s.'

Mr Evans explained that Sharma's parents had 財政／金融d Mehak's student ビザ - but later said her family, who 述べるd themselves as 'poor', would have to 支払う／賃金 it 支援する if she and their son separated.
While Mehak was at work on October 29, Sharma 繰り返して texted and called her but she did not 答える／応じる.
Mr Evans said: 'He told her: "God will punish you because you are cheating me."
'In another text, he said: "Come home and see what I can do to you".
'He continued in a 一連の messages: "Your 嘘（をつく） has been caught now, sweetie.
''Sweetie, the one you are with, I know who it is. 選ぶ up the phone now.
''Tell me, say you are a two-timer.''.'
Mr Evans said that Mehak asked her mother to keep the call running when she got home from work as she was 脅すd.
'Ms Bala heard Sharma ask, "Who are you talking to?". She asked him, "What is wrong with you today? Why are you 拷問ing me continuously?"
'Ms Bala then heard her daughter say, "Get away from me, let me pass." Then the call 削減（する） off.'
When Sharma called 999 at around 4:15pm, he told the 操作者 he had 殺人d Mehak.
He also repeated 多重の times throughout the call that she had been cheating on him.
'He said that she was 責任がある her death,' Mr Evans said. 'We 拒絶する en tirely the 被告's （人命などを）奪う，主張するs that Mehak was having an 事件／事情／状勢.
'These were used to minimise his culpability and （名声などを）汚す her honour.'
Mr Evans also read out a 犠牲者 衝撃 声明 on に代わって of Mehak's mother Ms Bala.
She said: 'The person who did this to her was her husband, a man who should have 保護するd her.
'The place he did this to her was her own home, where she should have been 安全な.'
Ms Bala 述べるd Mehak as 'a hard-working girl' who loved education and 手配中の，お尋ね者 to travel the world.
'But he took these dreams from her,' she continued.
'I am unable to eat since Mehak's death because Sahil 殺人d her when she was 餓死するing.
'She told me during our last phone call that there had been no food in the house and she was so hungry.
'She had bought food and was going to cook but he 殺人d her before she could eat.
'She will forever be hungry and therefore so will I.'
Ms Bala said that her family 'can no longer feel joy'. 'Sahil has not just 殺人d Mehak,' she said. 'I feel he has killed me too.'

裁判官 Plaschkes said that a pre-宣告，判決ing 報告（する）／憶測 had みなすd Sharma 'emotionally stunted' and 'mentally impaired'.
But she 持続するd: 'This was a heinous 罪，犯罪. While you have 表明するd 悔恨, this is tempered by you continuing to bl ame Mehak.
'You have 試みる／企てるd to distance yourself from your 活動／戦闘s and minimise your culpability.'
Sharma, wearing a blue tracksuit, 星／主役にするd at the ground and showed no emotion as he was 演説（する）／住所d.
裁判官 Plaschkes 宣告，判決d Sharma to a 最小限 of 14 years and 187 days in 刑務所，拘置所, after deducting the time already spent on 再拘留（者）.
She said that he may never be 解放（する）d on 仮釈放（する） - but if he is, he will spend the 残り／休憩（する） of his life on licence.
