EXCLUSIVESUE REID: Rise of Europe's new far 権利: From Spain to Greece, an army of young 国家主義者s is on the march... so will they 誘発する/引き起こす an 地震 at the 投票(する) box?

  • SUE REID explains why many in Greece, Spain and across Europe, think the day of the far-権利 has come?

The young man swaggered along a 味方する street in the Spanish 資本/首都. He was 冒険的な tattoos, a thin moustache and wearing a T-shirt with the logo: 'The White Race. Save European 身元.'

He あられ/賞賛するd from Valladolid, a 地方の city still 悪名高い as a 聖域 for 国粋主義者/ファシスト党員s in their fight against the 共産主義者s during the country's bitter civil war in the 1930s.

The 23-year-old had travelled to Madrid a few days ago to 論証する over uncontrolled 移民/移住 to Spain which he says is destroying both the country's 身元 and its Christian roots.

と一緒に him were hundreds more Spanish youngsters, dressed in 黒人/ボイコット regalia, all of whom thought 正確に/まさに the same way as him.

'It's not 人種差別主義者 to 保護する my own people from 絶滅,' said the young man in the T-shirt, who 辞退するd to give his 指名する but agreed to a photo, as he joined a noisy 決起大会/結集させる of the far-権利 国家主義者 movement, Nucleo Nacional, which is growing in 人気 の中で those in their late teens and twenties.

Just minutes before the 決起大会/結集させる at a rented hall in the north of the city, there were scuffles when a Left-wing ギャング(団) appeared from nowhere to rough up those who were 列ing to get in.

An 18-year-old was dragged 負かす/撃墜する and given a 血まみれの 長,率いる 負傷させる before the ギャング(団) fled 一連の会議、交渉/完成する the corner as 急速な/放蕩な as they had arrived.

Inside the event, a muscle-honed man wearing a 黒人/ボイコット mask 宣言するd from a 行う/開催する/段階: 'We must 持続する our culture, traditions and customs implanted here by Christianity.

'Please come and volunteer with us. There are those who call us Nazis in disguise. They are wrong.'

His 招待 was met with loud 元気づけるs from the mostly young, male audience. The same enthusiastic reaction 迎える/歓迎するd another Nucleo Nacional (衆議院の)議長 who told the (人が)群がる: 'The 支配(する)/統制する of our nation is in the 手渡すs of 反逆者s, barbarians, and degenerates who 促進する transgenderism, the loss of Spanish 職業s and 適切な時期s for our young people.

'This has led to a disorder unimaginable for most in our society. We are at the beginning of a fight for a victory that will を待つ us. Viva Espana!'

The 決起大会/結集させる's 発生地 was 雇うd from an extreme 国家主義者 group, Falange, which was selling its own brand of regalia there. It has no 議会の seats but 存在するs in the 影をつくる/尾行するs and has an 悪名高い past.

It was a 禁止(する)d of 250 Falangists in Valladolid who helped 悪名高い Spanish 独裁者 General フランス系カナダ人 勝利,勝つ the 血まみれの, long-drawn-out civil war for the 国家主義者s, giving him 絶対の 支配する over Spain until his death in 1975 finally 覆うd the way, three years later, for a 自由主義の 僕主主義.

For 10年間s after that, the far-権利 in Spain never dared show its 直面する in public. But that changed in 2019 when the ひどく anti-移民/移住 Vox party won its first foothold in the Cortes, Spain's 議会.

Vox's fortunes have since 急に上がるd. It now 持つ/拘留するs nearly a third of the seats in the Cortes after 約束ing a 人民党員 協議事項 of tighter 国境s, 厳格な人 法律 and order, and the 国外追放 of 違法な migrants coming to Spain across the sea from North Africa.

An 驚くべき/特命の/臨時の 27 per cent of those under the age of 35 投票(する)d for the party in a 国家の 投票 a year ago. And it's 予報するd that in other EU nations 抱擁する numbers of the young will f ollow their lead by 転換ing to the 権利 in 選挙s for the European 議会 this June.

The fact is that, here in Spain, where one in three people under 25 are 失業 and 移民/移住 is 急に上がるing, 信用 in mainstream politics has taken a 大打撃を与えるing.

The T-shirted 青年 at the Sunday 決起大会/結集させる said he 計画(する)s to cast a 投票(する) (yes, for Vox) in the 来たるべき 投票s. But many young Spaniards have lost 約束 in the 投票(する) box 完全に.

They are instead 行う/開催する/段階ing マスコミ-grabbing 抗議するs all over the country in support of a far-権利 credo of 国家主義 and populism.

The poster boy of this 反乱 is a 井戸/弁護士席-educated political science student in his twenties called Cesar Pintado.

Like the 青年 in the T-shirt, he comes from Valladolid with its unsavoury 国粋主義者/ファシスト党員 past.

Pintado is linked to a 反逆者/反逆する movement called 反乱 which is ひどく 批判的な of Spain's Left-wing leaders, and their woke-leaning 自由主義の 協議事項. Since January, which was soon after 反乱 first 現れるd as an (独立の)存在 経由で TikTok and other social マスコミ, the movement has 行う/開催する/段階d noisy 決起大会/結集させるs of the young in 11 cities across the country ― in every one 公然と非難するing the 判決,裁定 社会主義者s and 首相 Pedro Sanchez.

Hundreds of 反乱 支持者s turned up on New Year's Eve at Sanchez's (警察,軍隊などの)本部 in Madrid waving Spanish 国家の 旗s.

Provocatively, they threw around sex toys and カトリック教徒 rosaries to get attention from the 圧力(をかける). Out (機の)カム a papier-mache life-size 人物/姿/数字 of the 首相 which they then (警官の)巡回区域,受持ち区域 with sticks ― an 行為/法令/行動する which his 左派の(人) party 公然と非難するd, predictably, as a hate 罪,犯罪.

反乱 has already 伸び(る)d 30,000 信奉者s on the social マスコミ 場所/位置 X, 以前は Twitter, with its messages online calling for '圧力 on the streets against a 反逆者 governm ent' 意図 on destroying Spain.

'We are 集会 in a 広大な/多数の/重要な 愛国的な wave to 統一する Spain. We embrace our Spanish 身元. We 拒絶する wokeism as a movement defined by anti-人種差別主義, feminism, and in favour of LGBTQ 権利s, and Marxist 全世界の 軍隊s,' goes the 反乱 宣伝 machine.

The Nucleo 国家の movement is growing in 人気 の中で the young, driven by rhetoric over rising levels of 移民/移住 to Spain

There is an anti-EU message too. Europe, it (人命などを)奪う,主張するs, is 殺人,大当り the 'uniqueness of individual nations'. The 圏 '促進するs 大規模な and uncontrolled 移民/移住... which will lead to a continent where Europeans lose 支配(する)/統制する of their own countries'.

Pintado, a rousing orator, has said at 決起大会/結集させるs: 'Young people now have the 適切な時期, and 責任/義務, to stand up and organise a 広大な/多数の/重要な 反乱 to 埋め立てる Spain.'

Spain, of course, is not the only EU country where a 国家主義者 fervour is rising. There has been a 劇の turn against 自由主義の 保守主義 across the 圏, 特に の中で the under-30s.?

In Germany last week, a 調査する showed the 強行路線 代案/選択肢 for Germany (AfD) is now the most popular party の中で under-30s.

The 調査する 公式文書,認めるs that po litically 保守的な and xenophobic 声明s have 増加するd の中で this age group as they 反対する to 集まり '難民 flows' 原因(となる)ing 欠如(する) of 住宅, overburdened 医療の services and social 分割.

And even in the 穏やかな-mannered Netherlands the message is the same.

Twenty-seven-year-old political 行動主義者 and 'darling of the young 権利' Eva Vlaardingerbroek said on Friday in a speech 空気/公表するd on social マスコミ: 'If we don't start to fight for our continent, the time in which we live will go 負かす/撃墜する in history as the time Western nations didn't need to be 侵略するd to be 征服する/打ち勝つd. Our (EU) corrupt エリート 招待するd the invaders in.'

によれば 尊敬(する)・点d website Politico, 右翼 and far-権利 members of the European 議会 ― where 705 seats are up for 得る,とらえるs in seven weeks' time ― are artfully using TikTok and other social マスコミ to 支持を得ようと努める young 投票者s.

'The Left can't 'meme' 井戸/弁護士席,' says Romain Fargier, an 専門家 on political radicalisation at フラン's Montpellier University. By 'canvassing' on the internet, he explains, the 権利 hopes to 勝利,勝つ over young hearts and minds.

Spain is に引き続いて a path 始める,決める by Greece which last year became the first EU country to elect a far-権利 圏 of 政治家,政治屋s in 国家の 選挙s.

Three parties, 劇的な 指名するd Spartan, Greek 解答s, and Victory, scooped eleven per cent of the 300 議会の seats. And Konstantinos Bogdanos, a former MP of the 判決,裁定 保守的な New 僕主主義 party, is not surprised at their success. He explained in the 資本/首都 Athens last week: 'Many Greeks, whatever their age, are tired of 存在 let 負かす/撃墜する by mainstream 政治家,政治屋s and afraid for the 未来.

'They are sickened by 僕主主義. Society is getting poorer by the day. The country has the biggest 負債 in the EU. They 反対する to a 政府 handout 政策 where even a recently arrived migrant family gets more money a month from the 明言する/公表する than a Greek one.'

Mr Bogdanos, 44, (人命などを)奪う,主張するs that a 特に 普及した 支配する の中で Greeks is their 見解(をとる) that the 政府 is subsidising 職業s for newcomers. 'This is seen as 不公平な,' he said.

'If I, as a white male 適用するd for a 職業, I would also be 押し進めるd 負かす/撃墜する the 列 in favour of someone from a 少数,小数派, 含むing a migrant. The centre of Athens now 似ているs the city of Karachi in Pakistan. It is so 十分な of new arrivals that Greeks 愛称 the area 'Athenobad'.

Mr Bogdanos believes 投票者s are 必然的に 存在 押し進めるd に向かって the far-権利 as a result.

'Greece will lose its 身元, language, and 宗教 in いっそう少なく than half a century. Unless something changes, we will become extinct,' he argues.

A stark 警告 ― and one which I have heard here before. Twelve years ago, I met members of the first far-権利 party to be 民主的に elected to the Greek 国家の 議会.

They belonged to Golden 夜明け, an outfit that is now utterly discredited and 消滅した/死んだ. Many of their former leaders today languish in 刑務所,拘置所, 罪人/有罪を宣告するd of 汚職 and other misdeeds.

Yet 支援する then, this party of neo-国粋主義者/ファシスト党員 MPs was on a roll. In the 議会 building they arrogantly puffed on cigarettes even though smoking was banned there.

They wore short-sleeved 黒人/ボイコット shirts with the word 'ごろつきs' embroidered on them, had tattoos on their 武器, although they 否定するd 告訴,告発s they were neo-Nazis, 主張するing they were 国家主義者s fighting to save Greece for the Greeks.?

They 手配中の,お尋ね者 every 違法な 移民,移住(する) 一連の会議、交渉/完成するd up and sent home and even 示唆するd those arriving 不法に could be blown up by 地雷s at the 国境.

Last week, at the offices of the new 右翼 parties in the same Greek 議会, there were no tattoos nor ごろつき logos. The leaders were 静かに 発言する/表明するd middle-老年の men in grey 控訴s.?

But they were 説 much the same things as Golden 夜明け once did.

Spartan's 創立者 and MP Ioannis Kontis, a 65-year-old former mover and shaker in the international football 産業, 主張するd: 'The Greeks are not 人種差別主義者. But three million foreigners, many of an extreme 宗教, are now living here or have arrived and travelled through Greece 不法に to the 残り/休憩(する) of the EU in 最近の years. You have to 推定する/予想する a reaction.'

Along the 議会 回廊(地帯), those at Greek 解答s agreed. MP and former 新聞記者/雑誌記者 Konstantinos Chitos, 50, said: 'A modern-day 'Islamic conquest' of Europe is 進行中で. Yet there is still no 計画(する) to の近くに the 国境s by our 政府.

'We believe in the nation 明言する/公表する and that those in Greece 不法に should go 支援する. It's not too late to do something.'

However, 59-year-old Nikos Vrettos, a 創立者 of Victory, the third 右翼 party in Greece, worries it might be. 'Educated young Greeks are so fed up they are leaving for Germany and England,' he says. 'It is a 悲劇の loss of talent.'

He 元気づけるs up when talk turns to the EU 選挙s. 'They'll be amazing,' he surmises, letting slip a little smile. For he thinks, as many do in Greece, Spain and across Europe, that the day of the new-style far-権利 has come.
