'I feel like I'm in Succession': Inside the luxurious Regent Hong Kong hotel, where guests enjoy panoramic harbour 見解（をとる）s and incredible seven-course meals in a two-Michelin-starred restaurant

Elvis Wong throws open the door to our room and the shrieks that follow would not disappoint the King of 激しく揺する and Roll himself.

Lit up like Las Vegas on the night before Christmas, a skyline of 超高層ビルs is 燃えて with neon, 反映するing soft columns of colour in the waters of Victoria Harbour below.

'Wow. Wow. Wow,' sighs my husband as the children squeal with excitement and I sit speechless on the bed. The 見解（をとる） from the Regent Hotel of Hong Kong's famous horizon is so みごたえのある that poor Elvis hasn't a hope of showing us how to work the にわか雨 or 安全な.

We are glued to the panoramic window, spellbound by a cityscape that 約束s so much.

As does the Regent itself, newly re-opened after 広範囲にわたる 革新s that are sure not only to 回復する this icon to its former glory but to reinvent it for the next 世代.

'I feel like I'm in Succession,' says Rose, 17, as we sit 負かす／撃墜する for breakfast the next morning at Harbourside restaurant, our 超高層ビル scenery now bathed in sunlight while a Beethoven sonata 急に上がるs in the background.

I should be used to my husband's habit of ticking off the most obscure 目印s first but, even so, I find myself 失望させるd to be marched に向かって the bird, goldfish and flower markets dotted around the いっそう少なく salubrious Prince Edward Road.

'It's the real Hong Kong,' he tells me as I huff and puff about what I'm 行方不明の while 内密に admiring the contrast of this bygone way of life. Time for a slice of history that will bring us bang up to date and a trip on the 伝説の 星／主役にする フェリー（で運ぶ） to 消費者 港／避難所 Central 地区.

It's impossible not to be overawed by its 超高層ビルs - 非常に高い 寺s of 商業 - or the designer shopping 商店街s that link them. Though does any city really need eight Tiffany 蓄える／店s?

But then the only way is up, as every Hong Konger knows. Over tea in the park, my husband catches up with an expat school friend who tells us that it's perfectly normal for the 旅行 to work to take longer vertically than it does horizontally.

Hence the 中央の-Levels escalators. They?connect Central's 居住（者）s to their office 職業s and, at 2,600 feet long and covering a climb of 443 feet, are not only the world's longest-moving stairway but have been called the coolest 減刑する／通勤する on the 惑星.

支援する to the Regent and another serving of superlatives with an afternoon tea that would put England's finest to shame. Tier upon tier of madeleines, scones and exquisite savouries are laid out before us, while the waiter makes space for five little bowls of 魔法: t he 伝統的な Chinese dessert of ginger milk pudding. Spoons are licked clean before I remember we have a seven-course dinner at the hotel's two-Michelin-星／主役にする restaurant that night.

To the outdoor pool for a few pre-prandial lengths in the hope of working up an appetite.

Time to dig out what passes for best 着せる／賦与するs and make ourselves worthy of a night at the sumptuous Lai Ching Heen.

Like stepping inside a jade jewellery box, the 内部の is as polished as you'd 推定する／予想する from a world-class Cantonese restaurant, yet the staff's warmth 即時に puts you at 緩和する.

Soon the Lazy Susan is spinning as the children delight in a novel way to try each other's food, but my menu of golden scallops featuring shrimp, steamed crab claw and sea bass with red dates leaves me in no mood to 株.

Outside the 超高層ビル, light shows dazzle while an old crimson junk sails majestically by. Few places 逮捕（する） past and 現在の so magically. And the Regent is where it all 提携させるs.
