I spend a week on the biggest 巡航する ship in the world, 王室の Caribbean's Icon of the Seas - and this is what it's like.

As I board, I 始める，決める myself a challenge: to try to experience everything Icon of the Seas has to 申し込む／申し出. I have a week - is it even possible??

If so, I 計画（する） to 逮捕（する） POV （映画の）フィート数 of it all: seven swimming pools, six 記録，記録的な／記録する-breaking slides and new thrill '栄冠を与える's 辛勝する／優位' - a high-高度 ropes course where you dangle off the ship's 味方する, 154 feet above the waves. Sound scary? 信用 me, it is!

What 得る，とらえるs the attention first isn't any of these things.?

Instead, it's the 注目する，もくろむ-popping d?cor. Technicolor is an understatement. Seats, swings, drinks, slides and the carousel ? yes, the ship has a 十分な-size merry-go-一連の会議、交渉／完成する - pop every shade of the rainbow, as does the ship's 巨大（な） pink flamingo mascot!

Icon of the Seas is 66m (215ft) wide and 365m (1,198ft) long ? and 重さを計るs 250,800 甚だしい／１２ダース tonnes

And it doesn't stop there. I get a こそこそ動く peek at its new £116k-a-week cabin ($147k) dubbed the 'Ultimate Family Townhouse', which is off the charts colour-wise. It's a three-床に打ち倒す 控訴 that sleeps six, has a staircase that plays like a piano, and an indoor slide and trampoline.?

It's やめる かもしれない the brightest accommodation on the 惑星, and unbelievably (considering its price tag), it's sold out for the next year.

The 規模 of this behemoth has been a talking point across the globe and it's （疑いを）晴らす from my high step count ? I clock on 普通の／平均（する） 10,000 steps a day just walking around ? that Icon is 大規模な.?

The 'Ultimate Family Townhouse' (above) is off the charts colour-wise, says Jo

But it's not until we ドッキングする／減らす／ドックに入れる in 王室の Caribbean's 私的な Bahamian island, Coco Cay, that it really 攻撃する，衝突するs home. Already there when we arrive is one of 王室の Caribbean's smaller ships, 見通し of the Seas. When we park up next to it, the sight is almost comical ? like Little and Large!

Flashing like a beacon at the 最高の，を越す of Icon's 厳しい is the ship's 部類 6 記録，記録的な／記録する-breaking aqua park, the biggest ever built on a 巡航する ship.?

Its six slides have 嵐／襲撃する-関係のある 指名するs, but for me, the 脅すing Bolt 減少（する） slide is too scary, sorry.?

非常に高い over the 最高の，を越す deck,?栄冠を与える's 辛勝する／優位 'is a hybrid 障害 and zip-line course that takes you whizzing and dangling 154 feet off the 味方する of the ship above the waves', explains Jo, who 追加するs: 'Sound scary? 信用 me, it is!'

Instead, I make a beeline for the pink ハリケーン Hunter raft slide, which turns out to be twisty, turning 幻覚的な fun.?

Then it's time for the green 嵐／襲撃する 殺到する slide, which whooshes riders up, 負かす／撃墜する, 一連の会議、交渉／完成する and spins them unnervingly backwards ? cue over-excited squealing and blue language.

Finally, I インチ に向かって 圧力 減少（する）, the first open 解放する／自由な-落ちる slide at sea with a petrifyingly sheer 66-degree gradient.?

At the 最高の，を越す of Icon's st ern is 部類 6 - a 記録，記録的な／記録する-breaking aqua park. It's the biggest ever built on a 巡航する ship

Jo 勇敢に立ち向かうs?圧力 減少（する）, the first open 解放する／自由な-落ちる slide at sea, with a 'petrifyingly sheer' 66-degree gradient

Jo 明らかにする／漏らすs that 'it takes an age' for her to pluck up courage to go 負かす／撃墜する 圧力 減少（する）. Her 最高の，を越す tip? 'Don't procrastinate - just go'?

It takes an age to pluck up the courage to do it and, for several minutes after I've 衝突，墜落-splashed at the 底（に届く）, I'm in shock! 最高の，を越す Tip: don't procrastinate - just go.

Hour by hour, sections of Icon are ticked off the 名簿（に載せる）／表（にあげる）.?

And I spend time at each of Icon's seven pools ? one for each day of the week. I enjoy a G&T at 王室の Caribbean's first-ever swim-up 妨げる／法廷，弁護士業, Swim & Tonic.?

And I take in a comedy show 同様に as all the ship's main theatrical 生産／産物s: the acrobatic water show in the AquaDome, the ice-skating show in the rink and a 十分な-length Wizard of Oz musical where Dorothy 飛行機で行くs over the audience on her four-poster bed. You've got to see it to believe it.

Ploughing through all 40 of Icon's restaurants and 妨げる／法廷，弁護士業s 証明するs trickier and I give up, but I do find good food. The buffet and main dining room are of a high 基準, but my favourites are the AquaDome's Asian food 立ち往生させる GNGR and Park Caf? in Central Park. Icon is divided into eight 際立った 'neighbourhoods' and Central Park is one of them. Another is The Grove. This comes with its own sun terrace, pool and restaurants and is reserved 排他的に for guests staying in 控訴s.?

Unbelievably, I'm 申し込む／申し出d an 昇格 here and my cabin and its panoramic window are standout.

After four days I still 港／避難所't tried Icon's surf simulator or climbing 塀で囲む or visited a 選び出す／独身 shop, but I do 調印する up for 栄冠を与える's 辛勝する／優位, a brand-new 王室の Caribbean attraction.

There is a 強風 blowing the day I do it and while the 天候 does 静める 負かす／撃墜する, strong gusts of 勝利，勝つd (audible on the ビデオ) 追加する a real sense of danger to the experience.

Icon of the Seas is a 広大な／多数の／重要な 指名する for a 大型船 packed with iconic experiences. As godfather to the ship, the 伝説の Argentinian footballer Lionel Messi hops on board for a special 指名するing 儀式 and as he 準備するs to 開始する，打ち上げる the 瓶／封じ込める of champers to 粉砕する on Icon's 船体 ? an 古代の tradition thought to bring good luck ? he comes to stand within touching distance of me. I 凍結する, incredulous, up の近くに to one of the world's biggest icons, on Icon. Who'd have thought?

Icon is a ship 十分な of so many surprises that it's impossible to do everything in a week without exhausting yourself. Do I manage it? No. Am I upset? 絶対 not! I'll just have to come 支援する to finish the challenge off.
