Children are 存在 誘惑するd in to online scam 操作/手術s in such alarming numbers that schools are 持つ/拘留するing 緊急の 議会s to 警告する pupils as young as nine about the dangers.

In July, the UK's anti-詐欺 機関 Cifas and banking 貿易(する) 団体/死体 UK 財政/金融 advised 最初の/主要な and 第2位 schools to 持つ/拘留する 議会s on 存在 a 'money mule'.

This is where children are told that if they 許す money to be paid into their bank account and they cash it out or send it on to another account, they can keep a 削減(する) for themselves.

In the past two months 307 schools across the UK have 調印するd up to classes for children 老年の nine to 14, 同様に as their teachers, about the 危険s of 存在 的d by 犯罪の ギャング(団)s using social マスコミ.

安全 大臣 Tom Tugendhat today tells Money Mail that social マスコミ 壇・綱領・公約s are making it easier than ever for 犯罪のs to 的 children.

Tugendhat, who 支援するs our Stop the Social マスコミ Scammers (選挙などの)運動をする to 軍隊 tech companies to better 保護する 使用者s, says providers must do more to identify and 封鎖する mule 新規採用.

He says: 'Social マスコミ makes advertising cheap and 平易な, turning apps such as Instagram and Snapchat into a rich 追跡(する)ing ground for 犯罪のs to identify and 新採用する money mules.

'It's time social マスコミ 巨大(な)s stepped up to better 保護する their 使用者s.'

詐欺 選挙運動者s want to teach children about the dangers of becoming a money mule before many of them will be 的d. Crooks typically go after 十代の少年少女s and university students.

This can have 破滅的な consequences for their 未来, 廃虚ing their chances of going to university or getting a 職業 ― and, in the most serious 事例/患者s, can lead to a 14-year 刑務所,拘置所 宣告,判決.

犯罪のs use money mules to launder the 利益(をあげる)s of their 罪,犯罪s and 'rinse' the money by passing it through a 合法的 bank account.?

This money can 起こる/始まる from 詐欺 or scams, 麻薬 取引,協定ing or people trafficking.

The number of 14 to 18-year-olds misusing their bank accounts has 急に上がるd by 73 per cent in the past two years, 警告するs Cifas.

Nicola Harding, of We Fight 詐欺 and a criminology professor at Lancaster University, ran a secret 熟考する/考慮する to see how susceptible students really are.

In a 調査する, 95 per cent of students at the university said they would not 受託する an approach from a social マスコミ 接触する. Eight in ten said they would 報告(する)/憶測 approaches from 犯罪のs in person or online to Crimestoppers.

But in a mock 新規採用, a shocking number 調印するd up to the 申し込む/申し出 and failed to 警報 anyone.?

Dr. Harding and her team 招待するd students to 参加する an 'online 焦点(を合わせる) group' about 詐欺, to which 30 students 調印するd up.

What they didn't know was that student 研究員s Roni and Joel had 追加するd all the 関係者s on social マスコミ 壇・綱領・公約s Instagram and Snapchat.

After a 冷静な/正味のing-off period to 避ける 疑惑, the 研究員s sent an 初期の message to each 関係者 asking them to fill in a 調査する.

It read: 'Hii! Can you do me a 大規模な favour pls. I got a new 職業 and was hoping you could fill out this 調査する, I get paid every time someone fills it out and I really need the money tbh [to be honest]. You'll be really helping me out :).'

Dr Harding says: 'We did this because fraudsters may 新採用する young people to find other mules, but also they may create 偽の duplicate accounts and 追加する friends of the real account 支えるもの/所有者.'

Within 24 hours, 20 out of the 30 students had filled in the 調査する and engaged with the scammer.
