Prudential made me wait 7 months for £50k payout after my husband died:?SALLY SORTS IT

Prudential, which is now called Prudential International 保証／確信 and is part of the 投資 group M&G.
I can understand why you are disappointed with how long Pru has dragged its heels, as seven months had passed by the time you 接触するd me. You said your late husband ― a 借り切る／憲章d accountant ― would have been horrified had he known the struggle you’d 直面する getting 基金s that are rightfully yours.

I read your column last year, where someone was struggling to get a refund for tickets to an event called An Experience With Al Pacino that was cancelled in Glasgow. The same thing happened to me for the very same event, 予定 to be held in November 2022 in Manchester. I have been unable to get any help from the organiser ― An Experience With ― or Eventbrite, the 会社／堅い that organised the ticketing.?S. F., Manchester.
Sally Hamilton replies: You are not alone. After the ?column you について言及する was published last November, another reader got in touch to say she had finally got her refund only after 引用するing my article to Eventbrite.
What you 設立する perturbing ― as did I ― was discovering that the director of the events 会社／堅い An Experience With, Stephen Oleksewycz, a former professional footballer, is 現在／一般に serving a 刑務所，拘置所 宣告，判決 for 詐欺.
Companies House 問題／発行するd a 声明 last summer 確認するing he had been 宣告，判決d to 27 months for 詐欺 offences and 事実上の／代理 as a company director while an undischarged 破産者／倒産した. The offences relate to his 2016 破産 and his organisation of an event in 2017 where he didn’t 支払う／賃金 some 負債s.
I asked An Experience With whether his 裁判，公判 and 有罪の判決 had been behind the 取り消し of the events 伴う／関わるing Godfather actor Al Pacino. A 広報担当者 told me it had ‘絶対 nothing’ to do with 現在の 商売／仕事 取引 and 関係のある only to the personal 破産 eight years ago.
The 広報担当者 says: ‘予定 to Mr Pacino’s scheduling and some other unforeseen circumstances, unfortunately some events were 延期するd, and we ha ve kept 顧客s up to date through the whole 過程 and we are 現在進行中の with 解決するing any 延期するd refunds with our merchant.’
He said the 会社／堅い ran a successful event with Pacino in April 2023 for 2,000 attendees in London.

The ticketing 会社／堅い said it is the 責任／義務 of an organiser to 過程 refunds, but 確認するd it can help in 確かな 事例／患者s, such as when an event has been 延期するd for more than 90 days without a new date scheduled ― as happened with you.
On my 介入 it has now returned your £695. An Eventbrite 広報担当者 says it is refunding you out of its own pocket as it 追求するs the return of the 基金s from the organiser.

Scam watch?

Tricksters impersonating 井戸／弁護士席-known retailers such as Morrisons 約束 boxes 十分な of gadgets, with some emails asking 使用者s to take a 調査する to （人命などを）奪う，主張する.
