Britain's five biggest banks have 是認するd a 目印 letter from Money Mail to the 総理大臣 calling on him to 軍隊 social マスコミ 会社/堅いs to 割れ目 負かす/撃墜する on scammers operating on their 壇・綱領・公約s.

  • 強要する social マスコミ 壇・綱領・公約s to introduce tougher 身元 立証 対策 to stop fraudsters setting up social マスコミ accounts.
  • Make sure sales 場所/位置s such as Facebook Marketplace 申し込む/申し出 使用者s 安全な・保証する 支払い(額) systems to buy and sell.
  • 確実にする the 会社/堅いs 直面する 罰金s from 監視者s if they fail to stick to new 規則s.

Money Mail’s (選挙などの)運動をする has exposed the shocking 規模 of 詐欺 that 起こる/始まるs on social マスコミ 場所/位置s since it 開始する,打ち上げるd in August.?

Our postbag has been filled with letters from hundreds of readers who have been caught out by scams.

In one shocking 事例/患者, retired 救急車 driver Peter Verheul was tricked into 手渡すing £117,000 to crypto 反対/詐欺 artists after he saw a ビデオ 促進するing an 投資 on social マスコミ 場所/位置 TikTok.

Data from Lloyds has shown more than two-thirds of 購入(する) scams start on Facebook and other Meta-owned 壇・綱領・公約s.

NatWest, TSB, Lloyds, 全国的な, Barclays and Santander have 以前 criticised Meta ― the empire controlled by 億万長者 Facebook 創立者 示す Zuckerberg ― for 存在 the UK’s largest source of 詐欺. Santander 報告(する)/憶測s 70 per cent of 購入(する) scams 起こる/始まる on Facebook and Instagram.

‘You [the 政府] could 委任統治(領) them in the way that you have with banks. Or, the second way is, if the banks are telling them that scams are 起こる/始まるing on their 壇・綱領・公約s and pointing to the exact scam, then if they don’t subsequently 行為/法令/行動する, they should become liable.’

More than half a billion 続けざまに猛撃するs has been lost to 詐欺 this year, the 最新の data sent to the 政府 last month by 産業 団体/死体 UK 財政/金融 明らかにする/漏らすd.

The banks 現在の also agreed that social マスコミ 会社/堅いs should be compelled to 株 data with them and 法律 施行 機関s about fraudsters operating on their 壇・綱領・公約s.

Messaging service WhatsApp has 繰り返して 警告するd it would sooner pull its 商売/仕事 out of the UK if new 法律制定 軍隊d it to 溝へはまらせる/不時着する ‘end-to-end’ encryption, which 許すs messages to be sent between 使用者s with no 危険 that they can be read by third parties.?

There had been 提案s to 禁止(する) end -to-end encryption in the Online Safety 行為/法令/行動する, which was passed into 法律 last month, but they were scrapped at the last minute.

One 銀行業者 said: ‘We continue to take small incremental steps 今後 but unless we make a leapfrog 改良, the 犯罪のs will move quicker than us.

‘Unless it is going to 攻撃する,衝突する tech companies in the 底(に届く) line, they will continue to tick boxes and make incremental steps.’

A Meta 広報担当者 says: ‘With tens of millions using our apps daily in the UK, we recognise our important 役割 in 取り組むing the 産業-wide 問題/発行する of scams.?
