I lost £900 to 調書をとる／予約するing.com scam: Holidaymakers 警告するd of 詐欺 ahead of summer 急ぐ

顧客s of 調書をとる／予約するing.com have told how they lost money after 落ちるing for a 納得させるing scam when trying to 調書をとる／予約する holidays.

As 以前 報告（する）／憶測d by This is Money, the hotel and short let website's messaging system has been infiltrated by scammers, who tell 顧客s that they need to 支払う／賃金 付加 料金s to 安全な・保証する their 調書をとる／予約するing and pocket the cash.?

調書をとる／予約するing 以前 told This is Money that this was not a 違反 of its 場所／位置 or app, but that scammers were 伸び（る）ing 接近 to the accounts of hotels and apartments and messaging 顧客s pretending to be them.

Now This is Money has heard from 顧客s who sadly fell for the messages and 手渡すd over cash.

Becky (whose 指名する has been changed at her request) lost £900 to the 調書をとる／予約するing.com scam?while?on a trip to Thailand in October 2023.

She had 調書をとる／予約するd a hotel for one night in Bangkok, to stay in before 長，率いるing to the airport for her flight home the next day.?

She was on her way there late at night when she received a message on the 調書をとる／予約するing.com app appearing to be from hotel staff.?

They requested a 支払い（額） in the 地元の 通貨, and said if she did not 支払う／賃金 the 調書をとる／予約するing would be cancelled.?

'I should have 選ぶd up that this was more than I paid for the hotel, but it was 明白に in a different 通貨 and when you are panicking your 調書をとる／予約するing may be cancelled whilst on 大勝する in the middle of the night, it's not your first thought,' she said.

She tried to get the money 支援する from her bank, but her （人命などを）奪う，主張する was turned 負かす／撃墜する.

Banks may decide to reimburse scam 犠牲者s, but their 政策s 異なる and the 決定／判定勝ち（する） to do so is 最終的に at their discretion.?

A week after we got in touch, it agreed to reimburse her for the £900.??

Another This is Money reader, Rhiannon from Warwickshire, also had money taken from her account by a scammer operating 経由で 調書をとる／予約するing.com?

She recently pre-調書をとる／予約するd two nights at a Hampton by Hilton hotel in Blackburn to …に出席する a friend's wedding in the summer of 2024.

Rhiannon had already messaged 支援する and 前へ／外へ with the hotel about an 早期に check-in, so when another message （機の）カム through on the same 調書をとる／予約するing.com 雑談（する） スピードを出す／記録につける she assumed it was 本物の.

It said the hotel was changing its system and that she needed to give her card 詳細（に述べる）s again to 安全な・保証する her 調書をとる／予約するing. She was told the hotel would take a small 量 of money from her account and then refund it すぐに after.

A £4 sum was taken 最初 ? but this was followed up by another £144.72.

Shock: Rhiannon 設立する that £144.72 was snatched from her account, after she 確認するd her card 詳細（に述べる）s to the hotel she had 調書をとる／予約するd (在庫／株 image, 提起する／ポーズをとるd by model)

'I messaged 調書をとる／予約するing.com who said to 接触する the hotel 直接／まっすぐに,' Rhiannon said. 'The hotel then 確認するd that they did not take this money and that it sounded like a scam.'

In Rhiannon's 事例／患者, she was able to make a successful （人命などを）奪う，主張する for a refund with her bank.?

'I was lucky that my bank refunded it 支援する to me after I told them what had happened,' she said.

'調書をとる／予約するing.com didn't seem bothered by what had happened and it's put me off using them in 未来.'

A third 顧客, ジーンズ (whose 指名する has also been changed) was 軍隊d to rebook hotel rooms at a higher cost, after someone ? she believes a scammer ? logged into her account and cancelled them.

She had 調書をとる／予約するd nine rooms at a London hotel for late March this year, as accommodation for an event she was hosting.?Her guests were going to p ay for the rooms themselves on check-in.??

In February she received an email from 調書をとる／予約するing.com out of the blue 確認するing that she had cancelled them, which she had not. She also had a holiday 調書をとる／予約するd later in the year at a different hotel, which was also cancelled.

'I did not request this, but the hotel says that they were cancelled by me, using my 調書をとる／予約するing.com account,' she said.

'I have had emails 説 someone else has been trying to 接近 my account and change my password, and I assume they must have got in.

'The whole 状況／情勢 is very 失望させるing because I had already changed my password after I had read an article about scammers using 調書をとる／予約するing .com.'

'I called 調書をとる／予約するing .com すぐに to re-instate the bookings but was told they couldn't do anything because the 調書をとる／予約するing was cancelled,' she continues. 'I called the hotel who 知らせるd me they couldn't do anything because the 調書をとる／予約するing was made 経由で a third party.'

In the end, ジーンズ re-調書をとる／予約するd the same rooms ? for a cost of £800 more.

納得させるing: によれば 調書をとる／予約するing.com, fraudsters have managed to 伸び（る） 接近 to the accounts of individual hotels on its 壇・綱領・公約 - meaning they can 提起する／ポーズをとる as staff in messages

She doesn't know what the scammers were 目的（とする）ing to do with her account, but they later reset it and 削除するd her personal （警察などへの）密告，告訴（状） - which cancelled out the rewards she had built up for 存在 a 正規の／正選手 使用者.

調書をとる／予約するing.com 拒絶する／低下するd to 補償する ジーンズ when 接触するd by This is Money.?

A 広報担当者 for 調書をとる／予約するing said: 'We were sorry to hear about the 顧客 事例／患者s you've brought to our attention. As we 以前 確認するd, there has not been a 安全 違反 on the 味方する of 調書をとる／予約するing.com.

'Some of our accommodation partners have been 直接／まっすぐに 的d by very 納得させるing phishing 策略, led by professional cyber 犯罪のs, encouraging them to click on links or attachments, which in turn has resulted in malware 存在 負担d の上に their machines, and in some 事例／患者s giving unauthorised 接近 to their 調書をとる／予約するing.com account.

'This then enables these professional fraudsters to impersonate the accommodation and communicate with guests 経由で email or messages.

'While this was not a 違反 of 調書をとる／予約するing.com, and the actual numbers of accommodations 影響する／感情d are a small fraction of those on our 壇・綱領・公約, we have made 重要な 投資s to 限界 the 衝撃, putting new 対策 in place to 保護する our 顧客s and support our partners, as the scam has 発展させるd.

'If a 顧客 ever has any 関心s about a 支払い（額） message, we encourage them to carefully check the 支払い（額） 政策 詳細（に述べる）s 輪郭（を描く）d on the 所有物／資産／財産 名簿（に載せる）／表（にあげる）ing page and in the 調書をとる／予約するing 確定／確認.?

'顧客s can also 報告（する）／憶測 messages to us 経由で our 顧客 service team, or by clicking on '報告（する）／憶測 an 問題／発行する', which is 含むd in the 雑談（する） 機能（する）／行事, where we also have （疑いを）晴らす 指導／手引 for 顧客s on how to 避ける 怪しげな activity.'

Sunseekers 警告するd over holiday scams?

A major bank has also 問題／発行するd a 警告 over holiday scams as Britons look 今後 to summer 逃亡s.?

Lloyds said that holiday scams had risen 7 per cent over the last year, with those 老年の between 35 and 44 most likely to become 犠牲者s. The 普通の／平均（する） 量 its 顧客s lost to holiday scams was £765.

Lloyds said: 'Fraudsters have also been able to 妥協 the 調書をとる／予約するing.com 動きやすい app, using it to 首尾よく message holiday 製造者s, 提起する／ポーズをとるing as a 調書をとる／予約するd hotel.

'While pretending to be the hotel, the scammer will ask for a その上の 支払い（額）, to be sent in a different way to the 初めの 調書をとる／予約するing, or for card, bank account or other personal （警察などへの）密告，告訴（状）. It's a sophisticated and 層d scam, as it appears to be a message from the 本物の hotel, sent through the actual 調書をとる／予約するing.com app.

Lloyds used the example of its 顧客 Holly (whose 指名する it changed) who lost £534 after 落ちるing for the 調書をとる／予約するing.com scam.

After 調書をとる／予約するing a hotel room on the website and 支払う／賃金ing a deposit, she was 接触するd by someone who said they worked at the hotel, asking for a deposit again.

The telephone number was the same as the one 名簿（に載せる）／表（にあげる）d for the hotel on 調書をとる／予約するing.com.

Holly questioned the second deposit, but 最終的に paid up when she was told she'd lose the room if she didn't. She also agreed to 支払う／賃金 an extra 料金, which the hotel said was 要求するd as she was 存在 joined by her partner.

Sadly, in Holly's 事例／患者 the scam went one step その上の. Not only did she 支払う／賃金 deposits to a scammer, but it turned out the entire 名簿（に載せる）／表（にあげる）ing was 偽の.?

The hotel never 存在するd at all - and Holly only discovered this when she turned up with her スーツケース.

She looked up the 指名する of the 商売／仕事 online and it （機の）カム up with nothing, after which she discovered she had been sending money to the scammer's personal account.
