Carer's Allowance: Do you spend 35 hours a week looking after someone ill or 無能にするd? Find out if you qualify

If you spend 35 hours a week or more caring for someone who cannot look after themselves, you could qualify for Carer's Allowance of £81.90 a week.

存在 a carer means doing things like helping with washing and cooking and other 職業s around the home, taking someone to doctor's 任命s, managing 法案s and doing the shopping.

The person you are looking after - it can be a partner, family member or friend - needs to be receiving a disability allowance.

- You do not have to be 関係のある to or live with someone you care for to receive Carer's Allowance.

- You will not receive extra for caring for more than one person.

- If there are several carers for one person, only one can （人命などを）奪う，主張する Carer's Allowance.

You can choose either to be paid 週刊誌 in 前進する, or every four weeks into your bank, building society or credit union account. If you cannot open one, call the helpline above for advice.

You can backdate your （人命などを）奪う，主張する by up to three months. Your 支払い（額）s count as taxable income.

Qualifying for carer's allowance means you can get 解放する／自由な 国家の 保険 credits に向かって your 明言する／公表する 年金.

Scotland has started introducing a Carer Support 支払い（額） in place of Carer's Allowance, which will be rolled out to more areas from spring 2024 and across Scotland by autumn 2024.

If it is not 利用できる in your area yet, you should 適用する for Carer's Allowance. Anyone in Scotland already on Carer's Allowance will be moved on to Carer Support 支払い（額） between now and spring 2025.

What if you are turned 負かす／撃墜する for Carer's Allowance?

If your （人命などを）奪う，主張する is 拒絶するd you will receive notice in 令状ing. You might be able to 控訴，上告, but you should get の上に this 速く because you only have one month from the date of your 決定／判定勝ち（する） letter.

You can ask for a '声明 of 推論する／理由s' - doing this 延長するs the time 限界 - and ask for a '義務的な reconsideration'.

1. How （人命などを）奪う，主張するing Carer's Allowance can 影響する／感情 the 利益s of a person needing care

If you （人命などを）奪う，主張する and are paid Carer's Allowance, it may 逆に 影響する／感情 the 利益s that the person you are caring for receives.

If the person you care for is paid a 厳しい disability 賞与金 with their 利益s or receives an extra 量 for 厳しい disability paid with 年金 Credit, they will lose these 支払い（額）s and may also lose other 利益s, for example 年金 Credit, 会議 税金 Support and 住宅 利益.

2. How （人命などを）奪う，主張するing Carer's Allowance can 影響する／感情 a carer's own 利益s

If you are in 領収書 of 明言する／公表する 年金, are a carer and want to （人命などを）奪う，主張する Carer's Allowance, you can qualify for it.

However, if your 明言する／公表する 年金 is over £81.90 a week, you will not be paid Carer's Allowance but you will have an underlying entitlement to it.?

This underlying entitlement could help you if you are in 領収書 of a means-実験（する）d 利益 such as 年金 Credit.

3. What about couples who 供給する care for each other

If a couple who care for each other are both する権利を与えるd to 出席 Allowance and their 明言する／公表する 年金s are over £81.90 per week, they can both （人命などを）奪う，主張する Carer's Allowance for looking after each other.

But it will be recognised as an underlying entitlement rather than as a separate 支払い（額）, so they will not receive the allowance.

However, if their individual 明言する／公表する 年金s are below £81.90 per week, they can also both （人命などを）奪う，主張する Carer's Allowance for looking after each other, but it will be paid as part of their 明言する／公表する 年金 rather than as a separate 支払い（額）. It would be paid as a 最高の，を越す up to reach £81.90.

If they are already in 領収書 of 年金 Credit, they will both receive a carer's 新規加入 of £45.60 each per week which will be 追加するd の上に their 年金 Credit 計算／見積り.

If they are not already in 領収書 of 年金 Credit and both receive 出席 Allowance and the carer's 新規加入, they might also qualify for 年金 Credit.

4. What happens if a couple is on 出席 Allowance and have an 'underlying entitlement' to Carer's Allowance

ーするために 決定する how means-実験（する）d 年金 Credit is calculated, the 政府 始める，決めるs 人物／姿／数字s on what it thinks people need to live on per week. This is called the appropriate 最小限 保証（人）.

現在／一般に for people over 明言する／公表する 年金 age at 66, the 基準 最小限 保証（人） is £218.15 per week for a 選び出す／独身 person and £332.95 per week for a couple (see the box above).

If a person's income is below these 人物／姿／数字s, they could qualify for 年金 Credit. However, this will be 扶養家族 on other circumstances such as 貯金.

付加 賞与金s can be 追加するd to the 基準 最小限 保証（人）, for example 厳しい disability 賞与金 which is 追加するd if you receive 出席 Allowance (or another disability 利益) and no-one receives a 支払い（額） of Carer's Allowance for looking after you.

The 厳しい disability 賞与金 is 現在／一般に £81.50 per week. A couple can both qualify for this 量 if they both receive 出席 Allowance and no-one is paid Carer's Allowance for looking after them.

A carer's 新規加入 can also be 含むd in the 基準 最小限 保証（人）.

Where a couple who both （人命などを）奪う，主張する 出席 Allowance (as long as each 明言する／公表する 年金 is over £81.90 per week) also （人命などを）奪う，主張する Carer's Allowance and are awarded underlying entitlement, an extra £45.60 each per week is 含むd in their appropriate 最小限 保証（人）.
