Eon sent my small dance school a shock £95k energy 法案: CRANE ON THE CASE

I'm a part-time dance teacher and run a small dance school for young people in my 地元の area. It's open for about 15 hours per week.?

I've been running the studio for six years and the 法案s are usually no more than £200 per month. But last November, the energy 供給者 for the building Eon sent me a 法案 for more than £95,000 for one month.

There's no way that can be 権利, but Eon told me it would be up to me to 証明する it wrong. Other than showing it my previous 法案s, I don't know how I can do that.

I also had an email which said I should 'continue to 支払う／賃金 my 法案 in the 合間' which is 明白に impossible as I don't have £95,000.

Such a large 法案 was 明白に out of step with your usage, as a small dance school which is only open for a few hours in the evenings and 週末s.

The 人物／姿／数字 is laughably high. At your previous 率 of £200 per month, £95,000 would be enough to 支払う／賃金 your dance studio's 法案s for 39 years. That's a lot of demi-pli?s.?

But Eon does not seem to get it and has 固執するd in trying to get you to 証明する the 法案 wrong.?

The studio has an old-fashioned, 二重の 率 メーター ? as the energy 取引，協定 you 相続するd when you took over the 所有物／資産／財産 in 2017 告発（する），告訴（する）／料金s you different 量s for 力／強力にする used in the day and at night.

These 装置s can be tricky to get your 長，率いる around.?

First, you have to work out which 率 is the day and which is the night, and there might only be one 陳列する，発揮する 審査する meaning that you have to fiddle around with the buttons to make it show the second reading.

You told me that when you first moved in to the studio, you tried to 服従させる／提出する a reading but got it wrong ? 主要な to a £4,000 法案. 脅すd of 存在 wrong-footed again, you stopped sending readings. That meant you were 法案d based on 見積（る）s.

You used to be 供給（する）d by Npower before Eon took it over, and say Npower used to send someone out to read the メーター for you if you requested it.?

But once you were switched to Eon in 2019, you requested this again and were told Eon didn't 供給する that service.

You could have 献身的な some time to understanding your electric メーター ? but your energy 法案s were 概略で in line with what you 推定する／予想するd and, to be frank, you had better things to do with your time in the dance studio than faff around with your electric メーター, 特に as you run the school と一緒に your 十分な-time 職業.

In a time before energy 法案s ロケット／急騰するd, it 簡単に didn't seem that important.

But you were pleased that, in October 2023, someone from Eon did turn up at the studio to take a メーター reading.

Unfortunately, what happened next was not pleasing at all. You received a 法案 for £95,196 and were understandably terrified.?

The first person you dealt with was helpful, though, and you sent some pictures 支援する and 前へ／外へ of your メーター over the course of a couple of weeks.?

However, you were then told you had to 接触する a different department - and 一方／合間 received another 法案 for a わずかに higher 量 of £95,423.?

The person you spoke to there told you the メーター readings matched with what you were 存在 告発（する），告訴（する）／料金d.?I'm astounded that someone told you that with a straight 直面する.?

You say they only agreed to 調査／捜査する when you 強調する／ストレスd that they couldn't かもしれない be 訂正する.?

You told me he seemed to try and 非難する the 抱擁する 法案 on the fact you hadn't 以前 submitted メーター readings, but I don't think that is fair.

It seems to me that this was an error on Eon's part. How could you かもしれない 原因（となる） a £95,000 法案 by continuing to do what you'd always done… which was nothing?

The person also said it would be up to you to 証明する the 法案 was wrong, but that would be difficult 予定 to the 欠如（する） of readings.?

You read the メーター over the phone, guided by Eon, but it still wouldn't agree that the 法案 was not 権利.

That's when you 接触するd me, 支援する in November 2023. I 接触するd Eon and this kicked off the long 過程 of really getting to the 底（に届く） of the 事柄.

In 早期に December, Eon asked you to send メーター readings every day for seven days, having given you 指示／教授／教育s on how to read your old-fashioned メーター.

It then fitted a smart メーター in late December. While smart メーターs aren't for everyone, you were happy to have one as it would 取って代わる the old, 混乱させるing 装置 and mean readings were sent automatically.

You thought that would be the end of it, but for its final number, Eon 示唆するd in January that you still 借りがあるd around £5,000 ? and tried to 始める，決める your new direct debit at £2,000 per month.?

If those were going to be the real 法案s, you said you would have to の近くに the school which would be a real loss to the toe-（電話線からの）盗聴 youngsters who …に出席する.

But after その上の discussions with the 会社／堅い, I'm pleased to say you are now on a new 直す／買収する，八百長をするd 契約 and the 法案 has 減ずるd to around £200 a month.

It is not （疑いを）晴らす why the 法案 went so wrong, but in my experience mistakes like these are often 原因（となる）d by メーター readings and 見積（る）s 存在 input incorrectly into the 法案ing system.?

As you weren't submitting readings yourself, I fail to see how that could be your fault.??

While it's 広大な／多数の／重要な that your smart メーター is working for you, that shouldn't be the only way to 確実にする you don't get landed with a shock 法案.
