'There is a 抱擁する knowledge gap when it comes to BNPL ? this is driven by 貸す人s who continue to 申し込む/申し出 a 欠如(する) of transparency, 混乱させるing 返済 条件 and hidden costs. BNPL 貸す人s need to step up and take 責任/義務 for 取り組むing the misconceptions that still 存在する about the 危険s of using these 製品s,' Kadagathur said.

Buy now, 支払う/賃金 later 製品s 許す 使用者s to take out a 貸付金 for a 明確な/細部 購入(する), which is then paid 支援する in instalments. Often, these 製品s 申し込む/申し出 an 利益/興味-解放する/自由な 貸付金 for an 初期の period.

However, these 製品s are 一般に unregulated, and providers don't have to run credit checks on 使用者s.

This means that those who are already financially 攻撃を受けやすい could find themselves racking up even more 負債 if they don't 支払う/賃金 the money 支援する on time.

Klarna says that it and 競争相手s Paypal and Zilch all run credit checks with 外部の credit 言及/関連 機関s.

The 欠如(する) of 規則 of BNPL 製品s also means that 使用者s cannot complain to the 財政上の Ombudsman with their 関心s, something which a 大規模な 88 per cent of young people do not realise.

'With living costs stretching 世帯 予算s, there's a 関心 that people are relying on credit like BNPL to make ends 会合,会う, which 現在のs as more of a 危険 as it's not 規制するd in the same way as other types of 消費者 credit.

'With BNPL remaining unregulated, there's a 欠如(する) of consistency across the 部門, meaning affordability checks can be patchy, as can 消費者 understanding.

'Younger people who may have いっそう少なく 財政上の experience can be more 攻撃を受けやすい to 落ちるing into problem 負債 after using BNPL - 特に as at checkouts it's not always (疑いを)晴らす that BNPL is a form of borrowing.'

Kadagathur 追加するd: '規則 of BNPL is 絶対 必須の, and can't come soon enough.?

'計画(する)s to bring the BNPL market to heel have been 延期するd for far too long, which has led to 増加するd 混乱 and 最終的に punished borrowers. The regulator needs to 押し進める through this much-needed 法律制定 as a 優先.'
