Silent Roller: We've travelled to the 北極の Circle for an 排除的 乗客 ride in Rolls-Royce's first electric car - the £400,000 Spectre

With stunningly powerful but controlled acceleration I was whooshing silently, 滑らかに and at high 速度(を上げる） across a remote ice and snow-bound landscape within just 34 miles of the 北極の Circle.

As surrounding trees flashed by, the 絶えず active 中断 and clever on-board electronics アイロンをかけるd out creases and bumps in the slippery surface beneath to create a surprisingly seamless 運動 まっただ中に the beautiful lakes and forests of the farthest reaches of Northern Sweden.

It was an exhilarating 運動 in an extreme 気候 where 気温s can 減少（する） to below minus 26C, and where cars are even 実験（する）d in special refrigeration 部隊s at minus 40C in this amazing yet little known 自動推進の 'Ice 駅／配置する Zebra' called Arjeplog.

Ray Massey has travelled to within just 34 miles of the 北極の Circle to have a ride in a pre-生産／産物 原型 model

But this was no ordinary car.

I had just become the very first 新聞記者／雑誌記者 ? and the first '非軍事の' outside of Rolls-Royce ? to experience first-手渡す an 排除的 ride in the new green all-electric Rolls-Royce Spectre ? the first 無-放出／発行s 殴打／砲列-力／強力にするd リムジン from the world's most luxurious car-製造者, before it reaches 井戸／弁護士席-heeled 顧客s in the final ４半期/4分の1 of next year 定価つきの at around £400,000.

I was riding 発射-gun in the 乗客 seat of an 早期に 実験（する） 原型 ? and only the sixth car built - of what the British 高級な car-製造者 calls its new 'electric 最高の-クーデター' as it （機の）カム to the end of its 広範囲にわたる winter 実験（する）ing programme before the hot-天候 裁判，公判s get fully 進行中で.?

In total it is を受けるing more than 1.5 million miles (2.5million kilometres) of 実験（する）ing to ふりをする the 同等（の） of 400 years of use.

And we were off.

How does switching to electric change the form of an iconic Roller?
