The demise of the British high street has been long and painful for a number of retailers.

The high-profile 崩壊(する)s of brands like Topshop 示すd the end of an 時代 and precipitated a にわか景気 in online 急速な/放蕩な fashion retailers.

For Anna 支持を得ようと努めるd, Topshop's 終結 was much more than that.?

She had started her career there as a 買い手's admin assistant and when the brand went under, she started to think about how, in an 時代 of 急速な/放蕩な fashion, a modern high street should look.

By the time she had made it to director level at another 主要な brand, she felt 'burnt out at the 産業 and the waste.'

'On that day, I thought this has got to be a changing of the guard. I just thought I had to play my part in the way that I think the high street should be done and what we should be 申し込む/申し出ing.'

Anna decided on a month-long small pop-up in Ramsgate to sell pre-loved 着せる/賦与するs from her buying days, and 納得させるd five of her friends to do the same.

Anna took £12,000 over the course of the month but always had her 注目する,もくろむ on the shop next door.

'I spoke to the landlord, 招待するd him to the pop up and it sort of snowballed from there.' She opened her first 永久の 蓄える/店 in Ramsgate in September 2021.

'I do know I could grow faster if that's what I did, but there's something nice about natural, 有機の growth.'
