Mortgage 率s will 頂点(に達する) at 4.2% - far lower than 予測(する) just four months ago, OBR says

House prices will 落ちる いっそう少なく than 以前 予測(する) in 2024 and mortgage 率s are also 予報するd to rise いっそう少なく steeply, data shows.
The 普通の/平均(する) house price is 予測(する) to 落ちる by 2 per cent this year, によれば the central 予測(する) from the Office for 予算 責任/義務.
This compares with a 以前 推定する/予想するd 拒絶する/低下する of 5 per cent that the OBR 予報するd just four months ago in the Autumn 声明.

It said the 普通の/平均(する) house price is now 予測(する) to 落ちる to just below £275,000 in the final 4半期/4分の1 of the year, with the lower 落ちる 予定 to lower mortgage 率 期待s.
House prices will continue their 下落する into 202 5, before returning to growth in 2026, 増加するing by 2 per cent over the course of the year, before rising by 3.5 per cent in 2027 and 2028 as a result of lower mortgage 率s.
By 2029, the OBR 予報するs that the 普通の/平均(する) house price will have risen to more than £300,000, having passed the previous 頂点(に達する) of £285,000 in the first 4半期/4分の1 of 2027.

The OBR said the lower mortgage 率s are a result of a 拒絶する/低下する in market 期待s for the Bank of England's base 率, which 現在/一般に sits at 5.25 per cent.
'However, there are 重要な 危険s to our mortgage 率 予測(する), 論証するd by the large movements in bank 率 期待s since November.?
