If the answer is no, you aren't alone ? 研究 by Zoopla shows いっそう少なく than half of Britons who don't own a home could 'confidently' 述べる what those words mean.

The home buying 過程 is filled with jargon, and the 所有物/資産/財産 portal asked people to explain 25 重要な 条件 to see how much they really understood.

Gazundering was the least 井戸/弁護士席-known 称する,呼ぶ/期間/用語, while disbursements and covenant also placed at the 底(に届く) of the 名簿(に載せる)/表(にあげる).

Mortgage itself had the best level of understanding, though 20 per cent still said they could not confidently 述べる what it meant.

Home buying dictionary: What do these words mean?

Mortgage - 81%

A 貸付金 taken out with the 目的 of buying a 所有物/資産/財産.

A mortgage 利益/興味 率 which stays the same for a 始める,決める period of time ? typically two or five years. This is 普通は in place at the start of a mortgage 称する,呼ぶ/期間/用語, and when it runs out the homeowner must remortgage to another 直す/買収する,八百長をするd or variable 率, or 落ちる on to the 貸す人's 基準 variable 率.

調査するing - 53%

This is when a home 買い手 雇うs a professional surveyor to check the 所有物/資産/財産 for any 存在するing or 可能性のある 未来 問題/発行するs, usually after their 申し込む/申し出 has been 受託するd.

There are different types of 調査する, some of which are more 徹底的な than others ? but typically the surveyor will 検査/視察する all easily accessible areas inside and outside the home, checking things like the 所有物/資産/財産's general 条件, 公共事業(料金)/有用性s, flood 危険 and any health and safety 関心s.

These are the 合法的な 文書s 記録,記録的な/記録するing who owns a 所有物/資産/財産 and the land it sits on, and are held by the Land Registry in England and むちの跡s. Scotland and Northern Ireland have separate 登録(する)s.
