How to 適用する for 出席 Allowance if you're 年輩の and struggling to 対処する

出席 Allowance is an important 利益 for 年輩の people who need help caring for themselves.

It's 価値(がある) either £72.65 or £108.55 a week, and you don't need to be hard-up to qualify.

It is for people over 明言する/公表する 年金 who need help at home because of an illness or disability.

利益 専門家s believe many people fail to (人命などを)奪う,主張する 出席 Allowance, as they might be unaware of the 支払い(額)s or believe they are means-実験(する)d.

Anyone who 適用するs has to fill in a 詳細(に述べる)d 30-page form about how 井戸/弁護士席 they can 対処する with basic activities, like moving around the house and going to the 洗面所.

出席 Allowance is for people who are over 明言する/公表する 年金 age and there are two 率s. Which one you get, if either, depends on the 真面目さ of your care needs.

Here are the 政府's descriptions of what level of help you need to qualify for them - 公式文書,認める that you need to 報告(する)/憶測 any change in your circumstances.

£72.65 たびたび(訪れる) help or constant 監督 during the day, or 監督 at night

£108.55?Help or 監督 throughout both day and night, or a 医療の professional has said you might have 12 months or いっそう少なく to live

If you could have? a year or いっそう少なく to live, you can get 出席 Allowance more quickly. You or someone else still needs to fill in the form, but also ask a doctor or 医療の professional for form SR1. They might give it 支援する to you to 服従させる/提出する yourself, or send it straight to the Department for Work and 年金s.

If awarded, 出席 Allowance is usually paid every four weeks into a bank, building society or credit union account.

People 老年の under 66 can 適用する for the Personal Independence 支払い(額) instead, and under-16s for the Disability Living Allowance.

Tips on making a successful 出席 Allowance (人命などを)奪う,主張する

She says before you start, take the time to read through all the questions fully ? not just the bold print ? and also the 公式文書,認めるs that come with the 出席 Allowance form.

1. Be open about your health problems

There may be daily living activities that you struggle with in particular, such as getting out of bed or using the bathroom.

You might を煩う painful or 制限するd movement that 妨げるs you from doing something, or means it takes you longer.

Memory problems can mean you need help to remember to take 医薬, or to look after yourself. Be sure to 含む all these 詳細(に述べる)s in your 使用/適用 form.

に引き続いて the Covid-19 pandemic, many people continue to struggle with both physical and mental health problems making personal care 仕事s more difficult. This is all 関連した (警察などへの)密告,告訴(状) which should be 含むd on the form.

You might also want to speak with family and friends who know you 井戸/弁護士席 to make sure that everything of relevance is 含むd, as you may not always realise the type of support needs you have.

2. Use the blank boxes to give fuller (警察などへの)密告,告訴(状)

It's 決定的な that you explain the 問題/発行するs you have and the help or 監督 you receive.

Use the blank boxes at the end of each question to give this 詳細(に述べる).

It is 極端に importa nt that you explain in these boxes the difficulties you are having with these individual 仕事s 予定 to your health problems.

If you run out of space, there are a couple of blank pages に向かって the end of the form where you can continue explaining the difficulties you have 予定 to your health problems.

3. Start a diary to keep 跡をつける of your needs

This is a way to keep a 公式文書,認める of what you find difficult and what you need help with most.

You might not realise how many 仕事s you find 特に hard, painful or that take you longer.

Use your diary to help 跡をつける how often you have difficulties and have to get help ? so that you can explain how many times these problems occur when answering the ‘care needs’ questions.

For example, if you need help or find it hard to use the stairs or the bathroom, take a 公式文書,認める of the number of times each day this happens.

4. Be honest about what you find challenging

出席 Allowance looks at difficulties and the help needed with personal care 仕事s ? not difficulties with 家事, shopping nor gardening.

However, if you are struggling with activities like these, you might also be struggling with personal care 仕事s.

5. You might need to repeat (警察などへの)密告,告訴(状) in several questions

Make the same points again in more than one of your answers if they’re 関連した. It will help underpin the difficulties you have.

6. 含む what care 器具/備品 you need

Give 詳細(に述べる)s of any 援助(する)s and adaptations you use - like stair 解除するs, 得る,とらえる rails and raised 洗面所 seats - in your answers to all the 関連した questions.

Question 30 Do you usually have difficulty or do you need help with dressing and undressing?

Example answers:?I have to sit 負かす/撃墜する to dress and undress 予定 to unsteadiness. I have difficulty putting on and taking off lower 着せる/賦与するs and footwear as I cannot bend 予定 to 苦痛 in my 支援する and hips.

I have difficulty raising my 武器 予定 to arthritic 苦痛 and stiffness and struggle putting on and taking off upper 着せる/賦与するs. It takes me a long time to dress and undress.

予定 to memory problems I forget to change my 着せる/賦与するs and need someone to remind me to change my 着せる/賦与するs 定期的に.

Question 31 Do you usually have difficulty or do you need help moving around indoors?

Example answers:?I 持つ/拘留する の上に the furniture/塀で囲むs indoors 予定 to my poor balance.

My 脚s are very painful and also weak.

I feel dizzy when standing and walking.

Using stairs is difficult 予定 to 苦痛 in my 共同のs.

My sight loss means I cannot 裁判官 step depth which makes me 傾向がある to 落ちるing.

My 脚s are weak, so I struggle to get the 勢い to stand from a 議長,司会を務める.

Question 32 Do you 落ちる or つまずく because of your illnesses or disabilities?

Example answers:?I struggle to 解除する my feet fully 予定 to arthritis, 苦痛, 共同の stiffness, swollen ankles which makes me 傾向がある to つまずくing.

I get dizzy, have poor balance and have had 落ちるs resulting in bruising, 削減(する)s and grazes.

Question 33 Do you usually have difficulty or do you need help with cutting up food, eating or drinking?

Example answers:?予定 to sight loss, I cannot see what food is on my plate.?

予定 to arthritis in my 手渡すs and fingers I struggle to 支配する cutlery to 削減(する) food.

I struggle to 支配する a cup or glass.?

予定 to memory problems I forget to eat and need someone to make my meals for me and 確実にする I eat them.

Question 34 Do you usually have difficulty or need help with taking your 薬/医学s or with 医療の 治療?

Example answers:?予定 to sight loss, I cannot read 指示/教授/教育s on the tablet packs nor the (警察などへの)密告,告訴(状) ちらし.

予定 to memory problems I forget to take my 医薬 and need reminding.

Question 35 Do you usually need help from another person to communicate with other people?

Example answers:?予定 to 審理,公聴会 loss I struggle to hear conversations and have 広大な/多数の/重要な difficulty using the phone.

予定 to sight loss, I cannot see to read 文書s and need help with paperwork and 地位,任命する.?

予定 to memory problems, I need help to を取り引きする paperwork and 財政/金融s as I struggle to manage.

Question 36 How many days a weeks do you have difficulty or need help with the care needs you have told us about

Most people with 現在進行中の health problems will have difficulty every day with these daily living activities, even if some days are わずかに better than others. If this is the 事例/患者, you should answer 7.

Question 37 Do you usually need help from another person to 活発に 参加する hobbies, 利益/興味s, social or 宗教的な activities?

予定 to sight loss, I cannot see if I have left the stove on.?

I get very 混乱させるd and 脅すd if I am on my own for any length of time and need someone to 安心させる me.?

I have epilepsy and am not aware when I have a fit.

Question 40 Do you usually have difficulty or need help during the night?

Example answers:?I have difficulty getting comfortable in bed 予定 to painful 共同のs, I get breathless, I cannot sleep on my 味方する/支援する.

I have difficulty turning over 予定 to painful and stiff 共同のs.

I get dizzy if I try to turn over in bed.

I wake up in 苦痛 in the night and have to take painkillers.

I am 傾向がある to cramp which wakes me up and it is very difficult to settle 支援する 負かす/撃墜する. I need to use the 洗面所 in the night a couple of times and have difficulty getting out of bed and to and from the bathroom 予定 to mobility problems.

Question 41 How many night a week do you have difficulty or need help with your care needs?

Most people with 現在進行中の health problems will have difficulty every night even if some nights are わずかに better than others.?If this is the 事例/患者, you should answer 7.

Question 42 (At night) Do you usually need someone to keep watch over you?
