How do I 跡をつける 負かす/撃墜する a long lost 年金? Steve Webb's five 最高の,を越す tips for finding old マリファナs

I 蓄積するd a small company 年金 in the 中央の 1980s with a company called Intercontinental 医療の 統計(学).

I have tried all the 従来の methods to trace this money but without success.

The question I would like to ask is why, when I have an 従業員 利益 声明 from a British 保険 company, I cannot trace the 年金?

The difficulty appears to 茎・取り除く from the fact that the 保険 company 関心d, Norwich Union, is no longer in 商売/仕事.

However, it is known that the 年金 資産s of NU were taken over, it's just that no-one can tell me who 支配(する)/統制するs them now. I wonder how many others are in this difficulty.

Steve Webb replies: As you know, you 接触するd us about this 行方不明の 年金 before Christmas, and since then we have been on a 探偵,刑事 追跡(する) spanning 多重の 年金 providers, 多重の 年金 行政官/管理者s and even 多重の continents.

By 株ing your story, I hope that we can help other people to 跡をつける 負かす/撃墜する 行方不明の 年金s, even though to date the 追跡(する) for your 年金 continues.

Tip 1. Start w ith the paperwork

The best place to start in 追跡(する)ing 負かす/撃墜する a lost 年金 is always any 公式の/役人 paperwork that you 持つ/拘留する.

This can 含む 決定的な 詳細(に述べる) like 政策 numbers which make the 職業 of tracing lost 年金s much easier. For this 推論する/理由 it's 決定的な that, even today, people keep all correspondence regarding their 年金s rather than throwing it away.

In your 事例/患者 you have a 声明 from 1986 showing that you had a workplace 年金 run by Norwich Union.

Norwich Union changed its 指名する in 2009 to Aviva, so we started off by 接触するing them.

The paperwork also について言及するd that life 保険 under the 計画/陰謀 was 供給するd by Canada Life, so you also 接触するd them, but unfortunately the 会社/堅い had no 記録,記録的な/記録するs for you.

Tip 2. Follow the people 治めるing your 年金

Aviva was helpful and replie d 説 that a couple of years after your 声明 was 問題/発行するd, 支援する in 1988, this 計画/陰謀 was moved.

The 投資s were moved to a company called 連合 Life (of which more later), and the 行政 and 記録,記録的な/記録するs went to a company called Willis 協議するing.

As there is now a big 年金 協議するing company called Willis Towers Watson, it seemed 価値(がある) going there next to see if it held any 記録,記録的な/記録するs.

WTW kindly replied 説 that the 商売/仕事 of Willis 協議するing was sold in 1996 to another 会社/堅い called Buck 協議するing.

I 接触するd Buck who told us of some rather 複雑にするd 取引,協定s whereby in 1993 the IMS 年金 計画/陰謀 was 会社にする/組み込むd by another 計画/陰謀 ? the Dun & Bradstreet 計画/陰謀 ? but that in 1997 there was a demerger.

Buck only 治めるs the Dun & Bradstreet 計画/陰謀, and it said that another company ? Capita ? appears to 治める the IMS(UK) 計画/陰謀.

Tip 3. Try the 政府's 年金 tracing service

If you type 'trace lost 年金' into a search engine you will be 申し込む/申し出d a lot of 商業の tracing services.

It's 決定的な that, even today, people keep all correspondence regarding their 年金s rather than throwing it away?

However, the 政府 申し込む/申し出s a (やめる 限られた/立憲的な) 年金 Tracing Service which is in essence a 肉親,親類d of glorified telephone directory.

The 政府 場所/位置 asks さまざまな questions and tries to identify an up-to-date 接触する.

In the 事例/患者 of yo ur former 雇用者, a search on the 政府 場所/位置 (which is 解放する/自由な of 告発(する),告訴(する)/料金) also pointed us に向かって Capita ? the same 会社/堅い 示唆するd by Buck.

Unfortunately, however, when you 接触するd Capita it 簡単に said that it had no 記録,記録的な/記録する of a 年金 in your 指名する. So it seemed like a dead end.

As it turns out, it seems that the 計画/陰謀 on the 政府's 年金 tracing service was only for people who worked for your company after 1997, so this is not the 計画/陰謀 in which you held any 権利s.

Tip 4. Follow the money

Having drawn a blank 跡をつけるing 負かす/撃墜する the 記録,記録的な/記録するs and 行政 of the 計画/陰謀, it seemed 価値(がある) trying to find where the money had gone.

We had been told that the 政策 transferred to 連合 Life but it turns out that it went into liquidation in 1994.

The liquidator was a 井戸/弁護士席-known 会社/堅い called KPMG and it directed you to a Canadian company which KPMG said had bought up the 年金s 商売/仕事 of 連合 Life.

However, when the Canadian company dug into its 古記録s they 設立する that it had only bought the Canadian 政策s of 連合 Life, and that the UK 政策s had been bought by a company called Sun Life of Canada.

A bit of 研究 on Sun Life of Canada (UK) 明らかにする/漏らすd that it had recently been taken over by a company called 不死鳥/絶品, which 持つ/拘留するs a large number of what are known in the 年金s 産業 as '遺産/遺物' 年金 政策s.

不死鳥/絶品 答える/応じるd very quickly to our 調査s but said that it had searched its 記録,記録的な/記録するs and could find no 言及/関連 to your old 計画/陰謀.

Tip 5. Use your own 網状組織s

Having drawn a blank on all of these avenues, we did discuss whether you were still in touch with anyone whom you worked with at the time.

Just one person who was receiving a 年金 from the 計画/陰謀 today would be enough to find 接触する 詳細(に述べる)s and hopefully find your lost 年金.

Unfortunately, you were working at the company around 40 years ago and by now you have lost touch with former 同僚s.

結論: Don't give up

I know that you have been trying to 位置を示す your 年金 for more than a 10年間 and it's 広大な/多数の/重要な that you 港/避難所't given up.

We certainly have a clearer idea of some of the story of what happened since the 中央の 1980s, though 最終的に have still 攻撃する,衝突する a brick 塀で囲む.

But even going through all the さまざまな letters we have received has given me one or two last avenues to try.

Hopefully for many people the story of their 行方不明の 年金 will be a lot いっそう少なく 伴う/関わるd than yours and some of these tips will help them to 跡をつける 負かす/撃墜する the money that is rightfully their s.

I'll be discussing more about how to 跡をつける 負かす/撃墜する lost 年金 マリファナs on ITV's Tonight programme which goes out this Thursday (18 April) at 8.30pm on ITV1.
