The 問題/発行する of 商売/仕事s 存在 paid late has 'spiralled out of 支配(する)/統制する' によれば the 連合 of Small 商売/仕事s (FSB) 貿易(する) 団体/死体, and are stretching 会社/堅いs to their 限界s.

We look at how late 支払い(額)s are 影響する/感情ing small 会社/堅いs and what 対策 might be introduced to help them.

'I helped a company float on the FTSE then had to beg them for £60,000'

A late 支払い(額) can be make or break for a small 商売/仕事. Polly Arrowsmith 解任するs that when she ran an IT-managed hosting 商売/仕事 she often had to chase large brand 指名するs for 支払い(額)s.

One (弁護士の)依頼人 in particular, which Arrowsmith had helped to float on the FTSE 250 by building their data centre, 辞退するd to 支払う/賃金 an invoice which was 価値(がある) more than £60,000.

'My major 供給者 had given me a noon 最終期限 to 支払う/賃金 their invoice, or they would just 削減(する) off our services a nd our company would go under,' she said.

'I begged for the invoice to be paid, it was very stressful. At 11.57am they paid us. I had been gearing up to tell all of my staff they were out of a 職業, and the (弁護士の)依頼人 that we had failed.'

Sophie Wright, 創立者 of consultancy WrightCFO, has also 設立する that large companies are the worst 違反者/犯罪者s. Her consultancy engages 請負業者s before placing them in 商売/仕事s.

'Finally they just stopped 支払う/賃金ing,' Wright said. 'They have gone into liquidation and 借りがある me two-and-a-half months of invoices. The 顧問 needed 支払う/賃金ing and I was 強いるd to 支払う/賃金 but couldn't afford to 前線 the 十分な cost myself. I have had to start a 支払い(額) 計画(する) to 支払う/賃金 her.'

Sophie has since changed her 契約s with 顧問s to say they can only get paid if the (弁護士の)依頼人 支払う/賃金s. 'I am 疲れた/うんざりした of taking on very large (弁護士の)依頼人s going 今後,' she 追加するd.

What is the 政府 doing to help??

The 鮮明度/定義 of 誘発する 支払い(額) for a small 商売/仕事 供給者s, as per the 誘発する 支払い(額) Code (PPC), is to 支払う/賃金 95 per cent of invoices from small 商売/仕事s with より小数の than 50 従業員s within 30 days.

However, the code is voluntary and FSB 研究 設立する that in every 4半期/4分の1 in 2022, most small 商売/仕事s experienced late 支払い(額)s.?

A spokesperson for the 商売/仕事 department said: 'Our 支払い(額) and Cash Flow review has been scrutinising 存在するing 支払い(額) practices, the PPC, and other 対策 in place to ma ke sure small 会社/堅いs are 公正に/かなり 扱う/治療するd by their larger (弁護士の)依頼人s.'?

Seema Malhotra, 労働's 影をつくる/尾行する small 商売/仕事 大臣, told This Is Money the 政府 isn't doing enough, however.?

Malhotra said: 'Countless small 商売/仕事s are 存在 held 支援する by a culture that says it's 許容できる to 支払う/賃金 them late. But にもかかわらず years of (選挙などの)運動をするing from small 商売/仕事s, and the first 協議 over eight years ago, the Tories have failed to 立法者 to make boards more accountable.?

Small 商売/仕事 owners are more 懐疑的な about whether anything can really be done about late 支払い(額)s.

'I don't think it's possible to 現実に 立法者 late 支払い(額)s,' says Arrowsmith. 'If you choose to work with the big telecoms and マスコミ groups then you 受託する late 支払い(額)s.

'I had a large マスコミ company not 支払う/賃金 for a £23,000 事業/計画(する). They didn't care that we went to small (人命などを)奪う,主張するs 法廷,裁判所 and got a judgment. To them, they were and still remain a billion-続けざまに猛撃する company.'

Chasing after late 支払い(額)s can be stressful and time 消費するing, but is an all-too-ありふれた occurrence.

The first step is to have a system in place to を取り引きする late 支払い(額)s as quickly and easily as possible. The best thing to do is to 接触する the 顧客 before the 支払い(額) is 予定 to 避ける you chasing 負債, but if it has not arrived then you should make 即座の 接触する.

If a 顧客 is 断固としてやる late, the FSB 示唆するs you consider whether you're 用意が出来ている to continu e 供給(する) on credit 条件. It might be better to lose the order, or 顧客, than 供給(する) the goods and not get paid.

Even with systems in place, some 商売/仕事s will fail to 支払う/賃金 on time. It means you will have to consider your cash flow and ask if you have 十分な 基金s to 会合,会う any かかわり合いs you have.
